What is worse, Batman NOT saving you or Batman raping you or Batman sending you to jail were Gotham guard will rape you daily?

Batman broke the law here by not fulfilling the Duty to Rescue. Ra's won and proved that Gotham is nothing more than a hive of scum and villainy.

Wow! Every day?
We're practically honeymooned!
Gotham PD just discovered their true passion: CLOWNING AROUND WITH THE JOKER!
He can't resist!
Now CLOWNPHILE is the star of the show, and the circus is his!
Another Harley!
Tell me, dear sir, did you really think you could *top* the Clown Prince of Crime?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Reminder The Raped is canon in every timeline.
Every Joker is or will be raped. No escape.

Batman literally burned down the League of Assassins HQ in this movie and killed a fuckload of people. Then he spends the rest of the Nolan trilogy moralizing about never killing
>>
>>217014275
Nolan Batman is overrated as fuck, like everything else Nolan has ever made.
>>
>>217014275
>I'm just gonna hurt you. Really, really, bad.
>>
>>217018221
Actually only Nolan Batkeks movies are overrated, his other movies are all decent to kino range.
>>
>>217018394
He's a pretentious asshat who makes nonsense movies that predditors pog over cause it makes them feel dumb and hence it's "deep"
His Batman movies make sense unlike the rest of his filmography but they're still shit Batman flicks. Why watch that crap when I can just watch the Burton films which have way more sovl than nolanslop
>>
>>217018546
Nothing about the plot of The Dark Knight makes sense, the movie is just so briskly paced it doesn't give audiences time to process how dumb it is
>>
>>217018568
I mean you can kinda get the gist of them, unlike something like Inception which is just nonsense
But they are indeed way too fast paced and they have a lot of retarded shit. For instance to fully understand the Dark Knight you need to know the ARG that happened before the film which explains basic shit. Otherwise you have no clue why there are randos pretending to be Batman, why Joker torturing some dude in a Batman costume is a big deal or why he has followers when he's a random anarchist with no background
>>
>>217018546

>>217018568
haha so true, and I got that in my third vew (all 3 at the cinema)
Still fun, like a parent(Nolan) playing pretend with his kids(us) about fucking batman.
>>
>>217018394
Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and Inception are the only kinos he's made. The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, Tenet, Oppenheimer are legitimately bad. Everything else is ok to fine.
>>
>>217018762
Begins is his only good movie and only because it has Neeson in it. The rest are crap, it just goes from "tolerable crap to turn your mind off" to "genuinely braindead retarded crap"
Oppenheimer at least had good memes.
>>
>>217018568
Everyone complains how sidelined Batman is in the Burton movies but it's arguably even worse in the Dark Knight where Batman is a genuine idiot who gets mogged by the Joker the whole movie and constantly fails
>>
>>217018872
Batman being sidelined in the Burton movies is kino though, it makes him a mysterious entity that you learn little about unlike with Nolan Batman where you know everything Bruce Wayne does and the mystery is gone
Plus Burton Bruce is vulnerable but competent. Guy almost loses at the end and gets lucky with the beefy Joker goon but considering he survived a fucking plane crash and ran up dozens of stairs it makes sense
Meanwhile Nolan Batman like you said constantly gets outsmarted by some anarchist retard cause he impulsively jumps into every single encounter without doing basic recon or thinking about it. Joker even wins by making Batman correctly believe he needs to retire
>>
>>217018192
including the guy he didn't want to execute.
>>
>>217018939
>Joker even wins by making Batman correctly believe he needs to retire
batman cockblocked his secret ace in the hole so not really.
>>
>>217019563
In doing so he had to retire which the Joker wanted in the first place
>>
>>217014674
How often did they rape the joker in Arkham Asylum? Maybe they raped The Riddler too every now and then?

Batman didn't achieve shit in TDK. Harvey's burnt, his love interest is dead, the city views him as incompetent and will remember the Joker for generations, his crusade of justice is stopped dead in his tracks because the Joker successfully implants his ideology on Bruce making him think the city doesn't need him when it very much does, meaning that for the following 8 years Gotham is once again a shitty crime-ridden hellhole with the only positive being the old mafia is bankrupt because Joker burnt their cash (this only means a power vacuum) and Gordon being commissioner which is nothing since he lacks resources. Joker by every metric wins and makes Gotham a worse place because Nolan Batman is a fucking retard.

arkham origins has a better story than any batman movie
>>
>>217021971
Wrong. I love the Arkham games and they have great stories but they're worse than the Burton films imo, not in character (they're closer to the comics since Batman doesn't kill) but in general buildup and theming they're inferior
Origins IS better than the rest of the Arkham games when it comes to story, though. City is extremely overrated and Ra's being smushed into the story for no reason was unnecessary.

Come on anon. The Burton films have no story. No one has any real motivation, things just happen because the villains are whacky and Batman needs to be Batman. Even the Schumacher movies have more of a narrative arc than Burton's Batman, which are purely aesthetic experiences
>>
>>217018192
keaton batman explodes an entire chemical plant full of henchmen without a word
>>
>>217022053
kino
>>
>>217022089
Anon, did you get confused? Cause the villains in the Burton films have pretty clear motivation. If anything the Schumacher villains lack any motivation beyond wanting to rob banks or whatever
Also calling the Burton villains "wacky" is comical. Yes they have their comical part but they also have depth and tragedy. Compared to spangly leotard Riddler, Arnold Freeze and Poison Ivy which are unable to act in a way that doesn't involve extreme campiness+

>you have no clue why there are randos pretending to be Batman
they're vigilantes wanting to clean up gotham and emulating batman to do it
>why Joker torturing some dude in a Batman costume is a big deal
because it scares off any future bat impersonators and saves joker a lot of time he'd spend chasing false leads
>or why he has followers when he's a random anarchist with no background
the movie says he targets mentally ill people and recruits them

are you actually braindead
>>
>>217022166
What motivates the Joker in Batman 89? He wants to commit crime and laugh, that's it. Why does Catwoman become a vigilante, how'd she come back to life? She just sort of does
>>
>>217022224
>What motivates the Joker in Batman 89
thread full of actual retards
women, status, and money, and then revenge briefly
>>
>>217022177
>they're vigilantes wanting to clean up gotham and emulating batman to do it
You'd have no fucking clue this is the case without knowing about the ARG happening before the film. At no point does the movie explain how Batman got so popular people are mimicking him or how they're part of a secret club of Batman cocksuckers with a hacker website, leader of which is the guy Joker tortures later
>because it scares off any future bat impersonators and saves joker a lot of time he'd spend chasing false leads
No, the guy Joker tortures is the leader of the vigilantes and Joker tortures him as a threat to THE Batman specifically, not to scare off impersonators. Again, you'd have no clue because you don't know about the ARG before the film. It's completely reliant on what's almost lost media and an event the vast majority of audiences didn't even participate in.
>the movie says he targets mentally ill people and recruits them
How? Does he go around the underworld offering cards and meetings? Does he have a mafia background? Again, from what the movie tells you, it makes no sense since he's a random guy with zero connections who nobody knows. It's once again explained in the ARG that his followers were actually the players, people who got recruited through hacked websites with codes and shit the Joker used to build up his following. But you wouldn't know about this if you don't know about the ARG. You starting to understand why it's so fucking retarded to rely on external content to build up the foundations of the film?
>>
>>217022310
The point of The Dark Knight is throw the audience into an unceasing escalation as the characters in the movie are thrown into chaos. It basically never stops to explain anything about the world or how it works. Nolan easily could've explained how Joker actually recruited people on the Internet and spread his ideology right under everyone's noses but none of that is there, he just emerges out of nowhere and is basically omnipotent
>>
>>217022377
Precisely why Nolan sucks as a filmmaker. There is no explanation, no logic, nothing. It's just "oh yeah here's this guy who knows everything about the Gotham underworld and has thousands of followers and is so heckin' smart Batman can't beat him". Even with the ARG Joker feels like a Gary Stu political insert character but with the film alone it's so bad. The only reason people tolerate it is because of all the corny catchphrases and, like I said before, it makes them feel dumb with big words and plots that make no sense and they think that means the film is deep and complex when it isn't. At all.
>>
>>217022545
Can't blame Nolan, he doesn't pretend to be anything but a fraud. It's the audience that constantly falls for his tricks. Even critics lap up The Dark Knight as a masterpiece
>>
