It was popular for its time, and I actually thought that one was kind of funny, and I hate sitcoms typically.
>>217016621it's funny. I wasn't even into it and still haven't watched more than half of it. But the jokes are so snappy and clever, you just don't see comedy writing like that on TV anymore. Everything is some lame reference to something else, or just characters being catty and cruel and pretending that makes it funny by itself. Friends is popular because it deserves to be.
