technically this is sci-fi because of the premisealso best Beowulf movie ever madeand one of the best love interests ever in cinema>redhead>virgin>tomboy>would rather you rule than her
>>217016902>>217017070>>217017116Outland kicks ass don't listen to the haters
Outland and Alien understood something that a lot of later sci-fis didn't: space needs to be dark, lonely, and sort of low tech. Everything is so much better when space travel is slow, you're remote and only have what's with you currently, distant communication takes forever, and you're in the blackness of vast space.
>>217017583>redhead tomboyok, my interest is piqued
>>217017244this any good?
I like pretty much all the movies in this thread.
>>217019322>this any good?nta but I have it on VHS and it's a competently produced B-movie with decent sets and a simple but fun storyline, but there's a full-length music number in the middle where the in-movie band is playing a song while other action is going on and I'm pretty sure the IRL band performing had some kind of deal with the producer to appear in the movie.
>>217017087I watched this once don't remember anything about it other than I liked it
>>217019322Only if you're cool.

>>217018943100% correct. My favorite sci-fi esthetic besides star trek is cassette-futurism. I'm too retarded to explain why but it is the best look for science fiction
