Post Boatkino then.
>>217017712>I need movies about large black cylindrical objects NOW!Are you sure we need more of those
>>217017712I grew up with Phantom Menace. The submarine scene with giant sea monsters was the coolest thing id ever seen. Id watch it over and over. Everyone i knew thought it was so sick. ..... They never make a submarine movie with giant underwater monsters?? Why the fuck not.
>>217017743I love this movie but fucking hell is Connery miscast. The scene he actually speaks Russian in the opening is one of the most hilarious scenes I've ever seen. They could've gotten Anthony Hopkins or Patrick Stewart and the effect would've been much better.
>>217017712I don't think submarines interest the modern audience. Lots of laser beams, superheroes or kaiju monsters maybe.Sadly they'll bore too easily. It's just not marketable anymore.
Close enough?
>>217017850>SINK RATE>SINK RATE>RETARD>RETARD
>>217018597That movie was neat and all, but I'd prefer submarine movies to be more cognizant of the dangers of diving in water. The primary draw and interesting feature is how crazy dangerous it is to go down into water. Either the crushing depths, the running out of oxygen, buildup of CO2, the decompression, etc. There's enough to kill you down there already that giant monsters aren't also needed. And the subs shouldn't act like mach 2 fighter jets rolling, spinning, and dogfighting with each other.
