Movie theaters do feel like a completely outdated concept but who really wants to be stuck in their house on the internet all day.

The future of cinema will be reduced to greedy big time movie studios rapidly shitting out turbo AI slop VS organic films aka real movies

Theaters will at first offer both, then the multiplexes will only feature slop while real movies suffer in small theaters.

Real movies will become unbearably niche and rare.

We're going to drown in AI slop. It's already happening with music.

Movie theaters could resurrect themselves had they screened and feed classic kinema again instead of modern ones. They have what average people and netflix watcher dont have, that is big ass fucking screen and entire room full of sound system, perfect to enjoy kine in the maximum enjoyment ever. People would literally paid for that experience - to enjoy classic kinos on big screen
What they failed to understand is that no one wants to see a stupid modern slop that is either sequel or remake or grown man wearing costume and playing pretend in front of ultra keyed green screen made by several talentless passionless nepobabies in hollywood. People wants to see film, even zoomers watch classic cinema these days. The market is always there, they are just too stupid to mobilize themselves to that market and choose to stay and rot instead

They'll probably start playing nostalgia hits or live stream events like sports and concerts, rent out space for gamers and private, the stuff smart theaters are doing now.
The film industry doesn't have a content problem, they have a technology problem. Movie theaters just can't blow away the home experience like they used to, it's why they have to lean on China and India.
The industry needs to invest in 16k content and screens and completely rethink sound tech.

I'd like to think private theaters will be a thing, film lovers who just screen whatever they want.
