Just marathoned this, what did I think of it? I don't get why it's reviewed so well, the movie was fine but nothing special.

>>217023083Coogler absolutely sucks shit at directing action scenes. Not that good action scenes would've made it kino but it would've made it decent. The whole music thing was really poorly done as well and took up way too much time and somehow required exposition at the front of the movie instead of just showing the head vampire get drawn to the music. All so he could have people twerking in the 1930s.There's a good movie there but it's still a copy of From Dusk Til Dawn and worse at that, so why bother?

Random extras showing up to be killed when they established there were only around half a dozen survivors left, characters teleporting inside and out of the building, the vampires just forgetting about the sunrise… what a letdown. I liked the first half a lot more
