We can't even win a war against sand people, so how do we bring down interstellar empires one after another?The modern show will try to resonate with audiences in this low trust and confidence era, so it will be cynical and subversive. This also makes it not Stargate. The same thing happened to Star Trek where the Federation is nothing like it was in the older shows. They could have an all white cast and it still wouldn't fix the issue of Stargate being from a different culture.
