Does family guy have a golden era like the Simpsons?
>>217034441Yes it's just the entire series
>>217034441Yeah, that one single joke with the Pilsbury Dough Boy. It was pretty short
I can watch Season 1-3 anytime. Every episode is perfect, except maybe the one where Chris becomes a successful artist or the Christmas episode where Lois loses her shit.
>>217034441The first three seasons are almost a different show from the rest.
>>217034441i have never actually watched a family guy episode, all i have ever watched are funny moments compilations on youtube
marge?
I dropped out around season 5, but 1-3 are very classic television.
>>217034441I think seasons 1-4 are timeless.I quote them as much if not more than golden simpsons.
>>217034441Like every single american show ever, they run out of material after 3-4 seasons and everything after that is dogshit for a paycheck because the network bean counters want money.
Family Guy starts getting good about season 4 when it stops trying to copy the Simpsons. Hard to say exactly when it starts being bad because it never reached the same heights as the Simpsons and the dropoff wasn't as steep.
>>217034598Both have made millions while you bitch on the internet.
I'll go with an unpopular opinion here, but I didn't like Family Guy when it first came out and the first few seasons I didn't care for it at all. I think it's better now, unironically. The "le evil baby" shtick was not funny, the jokes were too on the nose and it felt it was still mocking the Simpsons at some points, not like something in and for itself. I think there are good and bad episodes and jokes on every season, it is much more scatttered than Simpsons. The Simpsons had complete episode stories, so if you don't like a premise, you better as well skip it, whereas a bad Family Guy episode may have an awesome 5 second joke in the middle of it.
Baiting two autists with one image
>>217034441The first three seasons were the "golden era" because the target audience was MacFarlane's generation. After that the jokes got "younger" and more retarded because the new audience didn't understand the cultural references from the 70s/80s.
>>217034496whoa ass ahoy
>>217035493
I guess the bot can't solve the new captcha
>>217034441It went to shit at season 5 or 6 at the height of Conwy Twitty and other "haha look at the thing for three minutes" and then got better again around the Multiverse episode and then became irrelevant at season idk 17 or 18. Simpsons just went shit and never came back
>>217035493This. Post cancellation episodes have a completely different feel to how the show was originally. You can also tell the success went to MacFarlene's head as the jokes and plot lines have an air of smug.
>>217035493I never watched eight is enough, but this one https://youtu.be/h_RCZPtnjUs was still funny. I don't remember where else they made jokes about those 80s/70s sitcoms, but it still kinda worked most of the time. Apart from when they used the characters name, I only knew about Fonzie
>>217034441Seasons 4-8
>>217034441im just watching it complete. >the first 3 sesons are like just like the simpsons 1 - 2 but edgier, 4 to 8 are like season 10 to 15, hit or misses no all bad and the rest are trash from modern simpsons.
>>217036269The conway twitty gag is perfect and I'm glad it filters little adhd zoomies
>>217036431Seth references 70s and 80s tv constantly since that's when he grew up
>>217034441Before its cancellation, the show was and still is gold. After the show was revived, the good episodes were pretty rare, the star wars spoof episodes and the stewie/brian time travel episode were the last actually good ones and that was like 16 years ago...
In order to like this show you must have an IQ between 90 and 100 precisely
>>217034441the first seasons before the animation style changed were the good ones.
Where the fuck is he, is he banned already?
>>217038383Wow. I love this meme.
