Watched "Trapped in Paradise" this New Year's Eve
Sometimes I will check out a lesser-known movie and wonder how it flew under the radar, but for this one I completely understand why it's forgotten
It's an okay feelgood comedy, but not as good as I hoped
I always like it when a bunch of different wacky storylines progress at the same time and come together at the end into something funny, but in this case it's more just sweet
Comfy small town atmosphere is probably the biggest point in movie's favor
Kinda hit-or-miss in the joke department, a lot of time I felt the jokes could really use some better timing or more exaggeration
Most of the funny moments are carried by Lovitz and Carvey, Cage is pretty low-energy here except for a few scenes
Madchen Amick's character is a total qt, but she has like 5 minutes of screentime and her romantic subplot with Cage is really rushed
Overall it's a 6/10 and I had a good time watching it, but I was hoping for something more than what it has to offer
Thanks for reading my blog

I watched it a couple christmases ago. Reminded me a bit of A Simple Plan, which reminded me a bit of Fargo.
