Rome is the best we're ever going to get. Nobody gives a shit about antiquity or historical epics. Gladiator 2 flopped and was shit and that was the most recognizable Rome-centric IP out there. We also got a shitty show called Those about to die about Vespasian and Domitian of all people and literally nobody cared about it. It's over, not that it ever really began.
