This show is so odd, it’s very different from many of the adaptations that make it to TV.The show is very aesthetically Fallout, they didn’t fuck that up at all. Honestly I don’t get the outrage. The showrunners are literally being advised by Todd Howard, the creative genius who created Skyrim and Fallout, so if anyone understands the lore and where the franchise should go, it’s him. Lore isn’t some sacred fossil that has to stay frozen in 1997, it’s meant to evolve. Fallout was always about vibes, themes, and satire, not pedantic timeline nitpicking. If the show contradicts some old terminal entry or obscure side quest, so what? That’s called refining the canon. Skyrim didn’t become one of the most beloved RPGs ever by being afraid to change things, and Fallout shouldn’t either. People complaining just don’t like that Fallout is finally moving forward instead of being trapped by nostalgia.
