Fuck me. Just finished watching picrel for the first time. The last 20 minutes was the coolest shit I've ever seen
>>
>>217059384
i liked the part where she cucked him with a black man
>>
>>217059384
This was dope, this was a time where you could make an action movie with an almost all female cast and it not be filled/made by a bunch of DEI jogger retards
>>
>>217059398
Did it trigger you?
>>
>>217059384
The tape scene where Oscar Isaac guts his friend was some spooky shit
>>
>>217059420
This is the cope shift, now?
Go back and look at the archives of how screechy and assmad 4chan was about an all-female military unit.
Now some retard wants to be all like "this was good all female and they do o it more instead of DEI".
Such NPC reactionary bullshit.
>>
>>217059398
Yes it is well know jewish women love black men.
>>
>>217059490
>Im not an NPC, you're an NPC!
This is what you just said
Who are you?
Do we know each other?
I always liked this movie
Calm down, go outside later today
>>
Jay Dyer did a well done analysis of all the symbolism, the movie is very satantic. Garland is like this to a flaw in his movies.

4chan has been astroturfed for a while now, do not take all posts at honest value.
>>
>>217059517
>This is what you just said
No it isnt, retard.
>>217059549
lol so which is the astroturfing? That all-female wasnt shit, or that it was?
>>
>>217059398
Same
>>
>>217059578
Well what do you think? Also if you're the anon that liked the movie, why did you like it?
>>
i just read the book
the movie omitted and changed too much and it feels like a dudebro adaptation which is weird because i remember it being more cerebral when the movie came out
they dont even give the characters names in the first book
its still a nice visual treat
>>
>>217059612
>Well what do you think?
I think anons are fucking stupid and just want to yell about things, even if it means they are in complete contradiction with their past complaints.
> if you're the anon that liked the movie
Dont know who you mean, but are you REALLY saying there was only one anon ever who liked this movie?
>why did you like it?
I thought it was a good analogy for how people deal with events that shatter a life.
>>
Color Out of Space spazzes out better at the end
>>
>>217059641
>I think anons are fucking stupid and just want to yell about things
Some anons are like that, putting everyone in that category who disagree with you is very bad faith.
>Dont know who you mean, but are you REALLY saying there was only one anon ever who liked this movie?
I asked a question to see if you were this anon >>217059517
>I thought it was a good analogy for how people deal with events that shatter a life.
How so? Can you elaborate on that?
>>
>>217059629
Was there an all female team in the book?
>>
Aesthetics wise it was well done, the action and story felt like generic streamerslop though
>>
>>217059735
>Some anons are like that, putting everyone in that category
It is a significant, if not the dominant faction on 4chan. You are either very unobservant or are deliberately obtuse.
>>217059735
>I asked a question to see if you were this anon
So you thought I was samefagging insults at myself...
Maybe you ARE that unobservant.
>>
>>217059801
No I don't care about samefagging I just wanted your opinion on the movie since you liked it and I was curious why.
So you're not going to explain further why you liked it since you ignored my question?
>>
>>217059423
he literally just said he liked it. seems you're triggered
>>
>>217059751
Yes much like a polish turd that doesn't hold up on closer inspection.
>>
>>217059751
This. It's an excellent wallpaper generator. Every single other thing about this movie fucking sucks
>>
Le spooky theme music was pretty good.
>>
>>217059845
>I don't care about samefagging
How could when you dont have the ability to detect it?
>So you're not going to explain further why you liked it since you ignored my question?
I dont care about your interests.
If you have exhausted your ability to talk about mine, then we are done.
>>
>>217059534
After his last 3 films, dropped. This was the last bit of experimental stuff he did well. Ppl should check out RPoint if they like the basic premise.
>>
>>217059907
You are not interested in talking about a movie you like? You are very special.
>>
>>217059384
I don't believe you.

>>217059629
It adds the dimension of capital M-Movies and becomes something more....I've said too much ...
>>217059751
How old are you people
>>
>>217059908
Garland's movies are very subversive when you deep dive into them and look into the subtext.

Seeing this not long after prometheus and Charlize Theron and Idris Elba implied blacked scene made me abandon sci fi for a while.
>>
>>217059534
Yikes. I loved the movie assuming it was a split psyche from grief/divorce, but if most are programmed to think military isn't a dark coven of literal human sacrificres in a systematic "volume" to serve a predetermined, vast agenda laid longer than we know. Military is exploration, adventure, not chumps sent to serve a sacrificial purpose. And inverting myths is what Hollywood or entertainment dies, since the modernists and it's a modular way to create. But harnessing the power of creation myth, treating "rehab/rebirth" of adulthood struggles as cancer on earth, 1 year before Wuhan lab leak in 2019?

>>
>>217059996
I wish I could stand it long enough to get thru, but Buckley is unwatchable. If she's not tradfem why is man still grotesque? Somehow she peaks as ultra feminine mother, it's not so off putting.
>>
>>217060011
It's very tiresome. I'm fine with it when it's jewish girls with black men tho.
>>
>>217059996
Men is terrible, it’s a horrible misandrist film and expects us to enjoy the same “point” being made over and over even tho it’s not reality
>>
>>217059996
What year was it released?
>>
>>217059490
>Go back and look at the archives of how screechy and assmad 4chan was about an all-female military unit.

Because like you they never saw the film and are crybaby retards.

Everything else had been tried. Every woman on the team was expendable, it was led by a woman with cancer. The brass didn't care anymore. They had lost their best and were down to letting volunteers die if they wanted.
>>
>>217059384
As the closest thing to a full-budget cinematic adaptation of ideas first explored in Roadside Picnic, it's a pretty damn good film, and I can appreciate it for that alone. Judging by the thread, people largely don't find it in that same way thoughever. I don't mind the all-female cast, they are on a scientific mission anyway, and I guess my mind blocked out the memory of BNWO jewish brainwashing that was inserted into the story, probably accompanied by someone hand rubbing and whistling hava nagila in the writing room. It is what it is, jews won, and there's not much which isn't saturated by their anti-european vitriol. As a completely unrelated aside, one time in the Budapest airport me and my wife were jumpscared by the amount of hasidic jews going around the place. One kike, I kid you not, was whistling Hava Nagila as we got around a corner. We had to contain our laughter after the shock of witnessing a real life caricature, but it was pretty memorable afterwards.

I thought this was the worst movie I’ve ever seen, I posted here about it, and it offended someone, I think it got deleted. At no point does it come together to make any sense.
It’s like another Solaris and duuude LSD/weed. Really bad plotting and another negative in Natalie Portman’s and Oscar’s career doing a nihilist gross movie.
I don’t think it has much action besides them carrying guns. It’s stupid a horror, where the plot details deconstruct and don’t make sense….like Donnie Darko or something. It’s a director or storywriter is drugs movie. If the concepts made sense maybe I’d give it a break.
>>
>>217060437
or you know... maybe just watch the actual adaptation of roadside picnic? psued faggot
>>
>>217059384
Oh my science, it was so freaking epic
>>
Yeah I thought the lighthouse scene and most of the journey was great scifi adventure material
>>
>>217062864
THANK YOU. This movie was so bad I'm just flabbergasted it was ever praised. I may have influenced the people watching it with me but everyone I watched it with thought it was retarded as fuck to.

I was pointing out the innumerable plot holes the whole time though
>>
>>217060437
You do know it's based on an actual book right? By Jeff Vandemeer, they changed a lot though. The whole series is a massive meme on Reddit, they tell people to read this book on the book subreddit probably once a day for for the last 8 years.
>>

Both are good
>>
>>217059384
I loved it too, honestly. Roadside Picnic meets The Thing, plus some really unique visuals.
I love really weird alienness and this one was wonderful for that.
No one of the critics I heard beforehand stuck true to me. The all-female team worked pretty well, action-wise (they are not Mary-Sues action girls, they behave in a fairly believable way) and plot-wise, for example.
>>217062864
The word you are looking for is "atmospheric", anon. But you may want to stick to rollercoaster-style action movies, maybe. It should be more up your speed.
>>217059969
>Alex Garland
I completely forgot that he directed this movie.
Damn, I liked Ex Machina and Civil War, too. I guess I'm actually starting to really like this director.

Yes the only good part
>>
>>217059384
It truly was better than it had any right to be.

i love how they tried to portray the women as smart at first but they spend the rest of the movie doing the dumbest shit possible, absolutely hilarious comedy, 7/10

>>217059398
i liked the part where they opened the guy up and his intestines had turned into giant worms
>>
>>217059384
I liked the cool visuals and creatures but I am too dumb to know if it was accurate with all the science part. I saw some youtubers shitting on saying the writing was bad the rules of the shimmer didnt make any sense.

Someone hasn't seen many movies. Call it shit or whatever but there are much worse movies out there. The gut intestine worm scene was dope, the bear scene, the lighthouse, and the overall look of the world. I dont even think about the nig scene until these threads happen

This movie was kino until the third act. The scene at the beach was incredibly haunting.

Shame about the entire rest of the movie. I was close to turning off so many times, glad I didn't for the end, but wow what a pile of shit.

You didn't like the bear? really? :\

What's special about that part? It makes noises like your friends or whatever so what? It's been about 5 years since I saw it.
