>HELP, I'M GETTING MY ASS KICKED BY A BUNCH OF CHILDREN
>IF ONLY THERE WAS AN ARMY OF DEMONS I COULD SUMMON TO OVERWHELM THEM
>>
didn't they murder a bunch of soldiers
sounds like a pretty serious crime
>>
>>217061895
Hopper and the kids killed more people than the monsters.
>>
>>217061813
they could've explained the lack of demobats and demogorgons by saying that the giant spider thing ate them all to achieve that physique
the desert environment seems like it couldn't sustain a ton of creatures anyways, so if one of them becomes that huge, it would have to eat the rest
>>
They were Demo-gorgons, he only got a few to try.
>>
>>217061813
It having a physical body and just being a big dumb monster instead of the gigantic storm with world bending psychic powers was lame. Shouldn't have the psychic powers El has times a million?
>>
>>217062270
It basically had to be retarded because logically it's too powerful to beat
>zero demo guards
>MF has been seen to have fragments of it operate when separated from the main body - even if most of the particles were animated that stupid kaiju, a spare part is not inside it simply to infect "our heroes" and then reduce them down into sludge like it did in s3
>>
>the revelation that Henry was corrupted as a child didn't make him switch sides - it was not plot relevant at all actually
SO WHY THE FUCK DID THEY DICK AROUND WITH WHO WAS IN CHARGE THE ENTIRE TIME? It's not like Vecna 'turning good' and helping defeat the MF would have been good but it would make it coherent for them have his backstory be a mystery like that. As is, it is irrelevant meaning they could have presented him as the willing general of the MF in s4, the audience and characters are clear going forward that MF is the overlord and Vecna the totally willing instrument of his will, and NOTHING changes. I suspect the Duffers, being shit writers, got cold feet over making a human the root of it all so shat in a last minute retcon of a retcon to appease fans
>>
>>217062418
Duffers said yesterday they wanted to redeem Vecna but changed plans last minute because it would be wrong.
>>
I said that it was an IT rip off, but i wasn't hating on it. I tried to like it, i really did. 1st season into a couple episodes of 2. But, it seems to have made a huge impact, and people are still losing their shit over the ending.
>>
>>217062490
That explains that Netflix merch store description for hoodies that said Vecna and MF are going to fight each other in the final battle lol - so these fags wasted everyone's time. When obviously Dustin's original Vecna = 5 star general theory was the slam dunk
>your evil overlord is a monster, so inhuman 'strange' (heh) stuff drives the plot
>but the more physical active on screen villain is a human so the evil faction has someone that can talk to, taunt, etc the main characters
P.S. Vecna didn't even need to be redeemed in the sense of turning good but literally having a huge 'N-no! I AM IN CHARGE HERE!' tantrum upon discovering the truth, so even in their original Vecna = redeemed approach they seem to only conceive of stuff in terms of he is ebil or becomes good suddenly
>>
A group of kids killing huge monsters in contrived ways is what D&D is all about.
>>
If a half dozen kids with pea shooters could kill it in 10 minutes the military would have insta gibbed the spider
>>
>>217061925
>people
Burger soldiers aren't people.
>>
>>217062490
Wouldn't be surprised at all. The part where he says he chose to be evil seemed like something that was ready to be inserted there in case Netflix execs demanded that he's a one-dimensional monster
>>
>>217063560
you're right, they're demigods. If my taxes go to bombing palestinian and russian kids, I'm fine.
>>
>>217063560
Your jealousy is so trans.
>>
>>217061895
>didn't they murder a bunch of soldiers
Are you asking a question?
>>
Why did the demogorgon kill Nancy's friend in S1?

Was she supposed to be another Will, but then it decided to gut her for giggles, or what?
>>
>>217064870
>DO NOT REDEEM THE VILLAIN
>>
>>217065329
I'm guessing that Will had psychic potential but Barb didn't. Once Barb failed to be useful, no reason to keep her alive.
>>
>>217065241
Israel's greatest loyalist
You will never be a patriot
>>
>>217063456
This. Basically they turned themselves into a quirk chungus paramilitary militia and ruined their lives for nothing
>>
>>217065329
Barb made Vecna's peepee go doing-doing-doing-doing
>>
>>217061813
>the literal reason why super powers even exist is defeated by some kids with guns (they used them better than the trained military or something) and someone with very weak super powers
why are people claiming this isn't a got-tier shitty hack ending?
>>
>>217065290
No joke, many zoomers think punctuation is too aggressive, so they omit periods and question marks in order to make their writing seem more approachable.
>>
>>217061813
The mindflayer kind of forgot about the demagorgs
