Why aren't people having existential crisises about film and tv being 100% over now? There is NO stopping ai "slop" no matter how much shaming it's users and followers anyone does.Everyone you even complain to on these kinds of sites, or in the comments of videos will end up being ai.It's hilarious. Content and the people watching content will be the creators. No more 3 parties, no studios, no writers, no actors, just you. Your personal Dreamworld is now reality.

>>217064133Even if legislators try to stop it by blocking it from using existing people and IPs, other countries will just push forward with all the pirated content in the world as the basis.>>217064394I imagine that isn't really too big of a hurdle. It's just a difficult for current video algorithms. What you need is a system with many agents in which agent 1 will generate content, then another agent 2 will verify it as good and forward it as basis for the next generations back to agent 1 or maybe agent 3 who is good with continuations. You need a bit more complex algorithm like this and you can generate hours. Currently it's doing something pretty crazy under the hood since it has a hard time keeping even seconds consistent, meanwhile we can feed it an image and it can instantly generate a scene out of that, so for some reason they aren't really generating continuing scenes out of their own content yet. This kind of multiagents already handle text generation much better than before.
>>217064298Netflix has a 25% profit margin. OpenAI's losses are triple its revenue.

AI is already being used in SFX workflows to make things like masking faster, or to help de-age actors. That's the real use case for AI. But this idea that in two more years(TM) you'll be able to generate your own movie is just a jeet fantasy.

Some bigwig at Meta recently made news by saying that since AI has gotten so good, that authenticity is going to be what really sets creators apart. This is obviously very true. People get tired of AI slop and want to see something real. If you think about it, it's been this way with TV and film for al long time. Hollywood tentpoles still make big numbers, but the indie scene has been where it's at since at least the 80s. The lowest common denominator stuff will still rake in the most cash, but at the end of the day, only plebs really give a shit about and take seriously that kind of cultural riff-raff.

And before you worry about the death of film/tv, you've got the death of humanity as a whole as the singularity rapidly approaches and we're just hoping that whoever hits that threshhold first designs a benevolent ai because we're unironically at risk of a literal skynet wiping out everyone (and a lot of the billionaires in control are unironically so arrogant that they think they could design a superintelligence skynet that they could control who would only exterminate their enemies).Only after all that is the fear of ai slop ruining media a concern for the average person. because when AI finally hits a level where generation of content is trivial, hollywood would've been dead for at least 20 years. as everything hollywood has done since 2007 has been a performance to create the false impression, in the minds of stockholders, since the companies are all publicly traded, that their business model, selling access to individual pieces of static media, wasn't completely obsolete for a dozen reasons. not least of which is the undeniable fact there's basically zero competent filmmakers working in hollywood.

>>217064021>Why aren't people having existential crisises about film and tv being 100% over now?Because its not. I like playing around with generative AI, and its not replacing anything. Sure, you can stitch together a bunch of random 10 second clips of people slowly walking towards the camera, but try to do something more complex than that, or longer than that, and it just turns into a mess. And the only way to get a longer video is to just stitch together those 10 second clips, using the end frame as the start frame for the next generation and then just hope it manages to be consistent with the last 10 second clip (it wont).
>>217067252You expect that slop to take over traditional human movies?Didn't watch it, btw. The thumbnail and title alone tells me all I need to know - it's a pale imitation of real human slop. That's all AI is.

>>217068367You’re a partially informed hobbyist by your own admission. Why do you assume the only way to innovate a technology is to do more of the same? Has that been true for literallt any major tech advance ever?
>>217068411>that's not what the "people" who consume eceleb vomit are consuming eceleb vomit for.yeah it is. your argument makes no sense and is disconnected from reality.>as evidenced by how eceleb is, unto itself, a personality.buddy, have you watched a hollywood press tour?
>>217068288the main issue is most training is in effort to avoid artifacts like that. so you need to use an extremely specific and completely unmistakable term for it in your prompt, also include an indication for when that prompt should happen. no clue if non-local generators allow for the python level code prompts.
>>217068367>tech broopinion discarded
>>217068367Those are buzzwords that don't really relate to the issue you provided which is the time limit. That's just due to limits of current algorithms and has nothing to do with what they are inspired by.
>>217068498anon. only an eceleb could be this deluded. parasocialization isn't going to remain a one-sided phenomenon.
>>217068496>You’re a partially informed hobbyist by your own admission.Vs you. Uninformed Samesh from Bangladesh. No gen, no opinion.
>>217064021people born after 1980 are people of the perpetual crisis and existential void.what will come will be as shitty or even worse,as always.deal with it and move on.
>>217068367>You don't get better models without more data, and if you've already used all the data then there's not another well to draw from.i know if only there was a way to... generate... more data...
>>217064021>be a human>perform some action>wtf why did my action create consequent occurrences?Modern humans are essentially breeding out intelligence and individual capability for large scale "swarm" species traits.
>>217064021I would have made Superman shrug off the rope restraints easily however at that moment Hermione Granger sits on his lap. Is that a good edit?
>>217067145But if I personally don't have sex, how is it any more real than the goings-on inside the television or on the movie screen? If all I ever experience of sex is second-hand, then what makes it real to me, experientially and by extension, existentially.
>>217068644>generate... more data...Anon, they've taken all of the images and video they could get from the collected works of humanity that they could get their hands on.Any "New" data sets are a drop in the bucket, and they're tainted with AI output. Which as I mentioned, isn't great training data either because it just makes your model self prune and look more like a generic AI generated image. I'm not saying it wont get better, I'm saying that people are going to be able to prompt a coherent movie that wouldn't feel like a schizophrenic nightmare is a long long way off. It would also require so much babysitting and fine tuning that its just cheaper, easier to just shoot a movie. The ways you can use AI in production aren't going to be the ways that retarded indians and tech bros hyping a bubble claim it is.
>>217064021well I'm interested in art, not "content", so this doesn't really affect me.
>>217068804>and they're tainted with AI outputanon just re-read >>217068062. you are just stupid as fuck. there isn't going to be a "data crash" or "content taint" or whatever you fantasize is going to happen to put an end to the dreaded AI menace. the "hands" problem was fixed by generating fuckloads of "AI hands," labeling it "ai hands," and then negative prompting "ai hands."
