Monster seemed to change size with almost every scene, the party apparently teleported up the cliffs, the distances overall shifted back and forth, the absurdity of the massiveness of the thing against the weapons that were used... etc etc etc.It could have been made to work. But apparently someone decided that putting actual thought into the thing was too much to ask. Instead it was more like "let's have the actors just say their lines, wave their weapons, and well just slap a bunch of CGI all over that". Which, unfortunately, seems to be the style of our time, in all too many other productions too.It did however remind me of some tabletop RPG sessions I've had, where the game has gone on for too long and the DM and the players are just too damn tired to keep track of things anymore and everyone starts taking shortcuts with the rules and storytelling, just to get the session/campaign wrapped up.So I guess it was kinda metatextual in that sense LOL, but I still think Stranger Things deserved better. Although desu the decline in quality actually started already way earlier than Season 5.
