Wow. What a huge disappointment. No reason for this to exist. It's literally just nothing.
>le autistic assassin constantly fucks everything upKino
>>217068769>>217068769>It's amazing how physically exhausting it can be to do nothing. The movie's only flaw was the obnoxious product placement. It's confirmed Fincher and Fassbender kino
Honest chud kino
>>217068769Am I crazy or was it actually intentional that this movie is actually essentially a non-story of an incompetent assassin who thinks he is hot shit only within his head? Or was Fincher just asleep at the wheel making this film?
>>217069260
>>217068769I think that was intentional but it sure as shit doesn't make for an engaging storythe wikipedia summary of the final "confrontation" makes it sound 10x more exciting than the movie did
>>217068769I liked it. Pleasant little story about a pretentious assassin trying to work through a major fuckup.
>>217068769Crazy to think this guy made Fight Club 26 years ago.
>>217069260from the context of all the stuff in his life prior to the fuck up he seems like he was extremely competentactually now that I think about it I wonder if the point was he was getting overconfident and complacent and he's why he fucked up
Its time to admit Fincher was never good, he just had good DPs, editors and composers carrying him
Most memorable thing about it was him eating a McMuffin strangely. Competently made which is to be expected but generic and bland. Guy hasn’t directed a theatrical feature in over a decade now
>>217069083I think it has really terrible ADR and sound effects at times. I’m not sure but the Muscle character seemed to be entirely redubbed. It’s odd.
>>217069260He does bring up the fact that he's going off route with his methods at one point. The movie's really self aware.

>>217068769believe it or not but its one of my favourite movies.
>>217072206I believe it. I put it on even though it had lukewarm reviews and 'buzz', was pleasantly surprised. It's a very comfy movie.
>>217068769Streaming services are where film directors go to die.Kinda like how birds go out to sea.
>>217069260to me it was basically a film about self delusion, so yeah
What's in it for you
>>217068769at least it is honest about being a "nothing" movie. It might just be the only good Fincher joint for that reason.
