>"anon you must watch the 80s, scifi / fantasy kinos were everywhere, modern movies suck">me (anon) go and watch Gor, 1987>it's boring, painfully boring, actors can't act and looks like shitWhat the hell are this retards talking about "80s being awesome"??
Just rangeban India and we won't have to deal with any captchas at all anymore.
>>217069358What does this have to do with OP?
>>217069317>Star Wars >Excalibur >Conan >Legend >Hellraiser You're generally correct, though, and old farts won't admit it.
>>217069906Anon exceptions are not the norm (sadly), that is why they are exceptions.I'm just tired of searching for good old movies and some random boomer screaming "any 80s movie", and that retard probably only knows 2 of that entire decade.
Zardos is 80s if i recall correctly. Its a decade with too many artsy farts getting a BIG movie budget and distribution, meaning a lot of very half cooked movies who would struggle to make it to 30 minute of cinema film.
>>217070074There are more good movies from the 80s. I went with the genre restrictions you established and posted peak. Still, I believe it is true that most of the old good, new bad sentiment is nostalgia-based. A lot of great movies coming out today get overlooked because of said sentiment.>>21707024370s.
>>217070259I partially agree with you anon, but if you check Amazon Prime library (never get this service, you are warned), you will feel ultra-depressed. If there is a good movie, it's drowned by hundreds if not thousands of slops, no matter the decade:>50s, cheating wifes start to becoming sympathetic because "evil or old husband">60s, racial tolerance is possible, "look in this scifi movie you can see humans and aliens chilling">70s, all the above plus drugs, hippie white-washing>80s, being a sexual degenerated is "cool", also nerds (ultra-bluepillers) win in the end, "loser wins over chad" revenge-porn fantasy started in that decade with the explosion of "dark fantasy", etc.I swear I just want to see comfy, noir, comedy (where you actually laugh) movies, etc. And you just can't, it just show the worst cases of each genre and decade.
Some favs from the 80s:>A Summer Story>Amadeus>Blue Velvet>Gothic>Quest for Fire>The Dogs of War>The Ninth Configuration
>>217070436Read >>217070074Thanks for the recommendations, anyway.
>>217070243>Zardoz>1974I tried to watch it, I couldn't finish it. It was cringe af. Wtf was wrong with custom designers back then?
>>217070402Yeah, I personally am very keen on production design, so most of the trivial everyday material doesn't appear on my radar to begin with. Not against slice of life necessarily; there's interesting cases like Rohmer, but I usually go for anime if I want any of that. Might want to consider doing the same.
I don't care homo.Still crankin it to Castle Rat Riley.
>>217070724>calls someone gay>proceeds bragging about onanism habit I don't even have words for this shit.
>>217069317You're judging the entirety of the 80's on a movie I didn't even know existed until like 5 years ago, and I lived through the 80's.
>>217069317Yeah when people mention 80s kino they are talking about "GOR" you dumb faggot
>>217071190Exactly, everyone knows we're talking about Sorceress
>>217069317>expects quality from a 1980's Italian moviePajeet retard
>>217071677He's correct that there's way fewer watchable 80s genre films than you geriatrics are willing to admit. >Pajeet out of nowhereBuck. Broken.
>>217071822Pajeets are incapable of telling apart European cultures and languages, they will often call Italian or Eastern European food British and deride it on /ck/, for instance
>>217071886So?
>>217071899I guess having a racial average IQ of 78 will do that a people
>Can watch any movie>Picks the worst one
>>217072111Yeah, sure. Something to keep your distance from.
