Watching this in 2025 is such a drag. The writing has this weird late 00's quality to it. The show makes House ''smart'' by writing every other character to be a bumbling cretin. Okay, so I should just accept that this supposedly prestigious hospital would keep this fucking smug-fuck, insufferable, sociopathic piece of shit because he is ''le good doctor''? Never mind that he constantly toys with the lifes of his patients and ignores all kinds of regulations.

Overrated show in my opinion.

its unbelievably ironic how hard it is for people to understand house the character, since thats exactly what is reflected in the show

Nah. The writers did a shit job at making him relatable is all am saying. I mean, he literally hired a black guy to be his assistant because said guy broke to someone's house, and by doing that, reinforced House's racist stereotype about black people.

House gets away with shit cause that's compelling TV it wouldn't be much of a show if he was a goody two shoes, why watch fiction then complain that it's unrealistic?

Every piece of fiction has to be at least somewhat grounded in reality to be plausible. The ''good doctor'' is unironically more realistic than MD house.

It's just a case-of-the-week whodunit but with diseases instead of murders, don't think too hard about it. That was what was super popular on tv in the 00s and early 2010s so every network had to have several shows like that.
