Bakula's not a very good actor though. He was perfect for Quantum Leap because he was playing a guy who never has any idea what's going on which is a natural look for him.

It was brilliant horror/supermatural thriller kino.

He's got his strengths and he still has the geek cred. Really, he shold have been the unwitting captain of a ship lost in some quadrant that has to help stop...something. Him being captain because he's the highest ranking person left and they are a crew of survivors of a colony would have been much better then this ill-conceived prequel.
