Any movies about the benefits of cold lights?
>>
>>217074338
Before looks better.
>>
for me its the green street lights you see all the time in kinos from the 70s
>>
>>217074370
Warm lights are bad for you. Don't question the science.
>>
>>217074338
Right looks better. Everything on the left looks orange.
>>
>>217074338
Why dont they just put yellow tinted covers on the lights
Like what the fuck why are you bombarding pwople with blue light at night
>>
>>217074745
Warm lights cost more.
>>
>>217074338
Before: 2000s French thriller. After: Abel Ferrera
>>
>>217074799
You can make LEDs that function exactly as the ones on the right and have them emit warmer, more yellowish light.
>>
>>217074790
>Why dont they just put yellow tinted covers on the lights
The system is completely unresponsive to the wants of the people. America is a tyranny.
>>
>Benefits
Soulless, flicker prone, bad for circadian rhythm. And if you’re talking about indoor incandescent lights, LEDs are also less accurate in terms of color. The Phoebus cartel never disbanded.
>>
>>217074338
How do we profit from headlights now blinding everyone on the other side of the road?
>>
>>217074836
My street is like that. It's comfy.
>>
>>217074879
poor
>>
>>217074745
I dunno, when I bought new glasses I got offered two pairs of these magnet tints you clip on your regular pair whenever you want. One of those is pair are sunglasses for the day, and the other pair are orange-tinted and meant to be used when you're driving at night. They turn the scenery from the right picture closer to something on the left. Apparently it's less tiring for your eyes.
>>
>>217074338
>cold lights
>>217074745
>Warm lights
Are you retarded?
One is old tungsten lights that has been superseded by LED.
In my country it is now illegal to sell tungsten lightbulbs to the public, for environmental reasons of course.

1. Street lights are low sodium vapor.
2. You can buy low kelvin (warm) LEDs.

Blue light is what's "bad" for you. Those lights on OPs pics are high pressure sodium lamps. They emit only a little blue light, while LED emits of lot of Blue light. You can't fucking see shit with them though, that's why I like LED better.
>>
>>217074338
Hypothetical question
A movie you cherished from your childhood looked like the left on vhs/dvd and they change it to the right on bluray/4k
Is the movie ruined or are you glad theres more pixels and the scene looks more clear?
>>
>>217075037
LEDs are garish and unsightly, I see much more clearly on HPS streets.
>>
>>217075057
Depends, which release more accurately reflects the theatrical color grading? Wrong->right and right->wrong have both happened.
>>
>>217074338
T1 and T2 use blue and orange light very effectively.
>>
>>217074960
are you? you should look up what "warm" and "cold" means when referring to lighting instead of talking about whats going on in your 3rd world country

>>
>>217075057
Movies are a time and place frozen in time. Reality is not. Does the movie look better or does it look like ass?

>>217075071
No you don't. Niggers have an easier time to hide under HPS/LPS lighting. LED has a broader spectrum and you can actually see colors and shades instead of just an orange mudgepudge
>>
>>217075037
you can see the same with both, your pupils can dilate and contract, apparently soientists don't know about this
>>
>>217074745
On the scale from Palestinian to 10, how genocided are you right now?
>>
>>217075176
Yes I do. LEDs make everything look niggerfied and ruins the point of avoiding them in the first place.
>>
I WILL put orange and red filters over my light bulbs, thank you very much
>>
REMINDER that LEDs (over Tungsten) in film lighting is part of the reason modern movies look fake and gay.
>>
>>217074338
what's going to be the next epic street light trend that is going to save the planet and make driving safe for everyone?
>>
>>217075219
lolwut? you dont see black people under LED light cause they can't hide to stab you in the neck and steal your wallet. you sound like a contrarian brainlet
>>
after illuminates better fucking boomers
>>
>>217075274
If everything is ugly and looks like prison then that defeats the purpose of avoiding nigger areas.
>>
>>217075293
that's why in the before image literally everyone crashed into the trees and people couldn't find their way home
>>
>>217075262
Bright blue LEDs like a police siren but on every pedestrian crossing, blinking all night long even when no one around, to make you feel there are cop cars everywhere.
They're already implementing it selected globohomoland cities (europe)
>>
>>217075293
You’ve been mindraped.
>>
>>217074843
Found out just recently that LED was a sham. Incandescent is less harmful to our health but forget the specifics
>>
>>217075176
>you can actually see colors and shades instead of just an orange mudgepudge
you have no idea what Sodium lighting looks like retard.
>>
>>217075262
Socialism and not presuming trends fix anything
>>
>>217075405
LEDs have exactly one benefit, they really do last longer.
But yes they are less accurate, prone to flicker and have a blue bias.
They’re also purposefully made to fail early look up Dubai LEDs they have the technology to make them last for much longer.
>>
>>217075134
Jesus christ what movie?
>>
>>217075351
kek what, post an example
>>
>>217074745
science literally says the opposite
bright lights introduce shadows that prevent people from seeing people lurking and attempting burglaries
lower intensity light obscures night vision less
lower output less bright LEDs would consume even less energy
>>
>>217075509
Thief
>>
>>217074745
I remember reading that the opposite was true according to science.
>>
>>217075134
Why do so many blu-rays turn everything blue? Is it the science?
>>
>>217075534
>>217075548
That's weird, surely they wouldn't replace all the old ones with newer and better lights if they weren't good for you?
>>
>>217075563
Boomer directors like blue for some reason, it’s the trend now. Has nothing to do with blu-ray as a format. My schizotheory is that they don’t calibrate their phone and tv screens which come out of the box way too blue, so when they see a properly calibrated screen with the colorist, their eyes see everything as way too warm.
>>
>>217075563
I think i googled that question some time ago it basically said because the blue sets the mood for darker scenes better, cold, depressing, moody, scary etc.
I dont necessarily believe thats the reason, i think its a stylistic decision being made by people out of touch with reality
>>
>>217075134
James Cameron does this too
>>
>>217075599
theyre cheaper (even with the ones constantly breaking all the time and turning blue)
but the retards just put the brightest eye rapiest fucking lights up everywhere instead of simply adjusting them to the same output levels as mercury halogen or sodium lamps
>>
>>217075461
>They’re also purposefully made to fail early
Edison-type LED bulbs are shit because of cheap, small controllers heating up due to the design. Purpose-made LED fixtures don't have that problem because they're usually big enough to have a proper power supply/converter/whatever and airflow (assuming you buy from a reputable brand and not teemu). I think dubai LED just run less power (heat) through them.
>>
>>217075695
>because the blue sets the mood for darker scenes better, cold, depressing, moody, scary
lol, all the fake Blue light scenes in 80s movies like Manhunter were scenes that take place in safety
>>
>>217075728
Less power via more filaments. But yes, you can shell out for premium LEDs with a more accurate (closer to Incandescent) CRI and longer lifespan if you want. Not particularly part of the consumer space though, most of the walmart normie bulbs upsell through color changing or “smart” services (data collection).
>>
>>217075526
I can't find pictures of that specific abomination, only of other pedestrian crossing inventions that aren't quite as obnoxious.

in certain areas of my town, a lot of the LED lights they used to replace the older ones eventually had some kind of burnout issue where the coating on the light gets fucked up and they end up turning purple/blue. I honestly kind of like it.
>>
>>217075899
Yeah it’s kinda soul but still doesn’t beat the firelight orange of HPS

In this case yes.
>>

Just another example of this obviously being the case, yes
>>

I used to live in Winnipeg and that was happening for a while. Late night drives were so nice. I was disappointed when they started replacing them.
