Would you watch a Star Trek medical series like ER in space?

It COULD work out for one season, maybe even two. But it would have to be rooted in sci-fi with respect to the diseases or injuries treated, so alien viruses etc.
What really would be great would be a show focusing on interstellar diplomacy. Basically what TNG hinted at a little every now and then, only as the main focus. Something like West Wing in space, with less bleeding heart preaching and more machiavellianism.
But there are no writers willing and able to pull it off, at least none that will ever get hired or have enough artistic freedom for this.

There are no stakes when it's about made-up space diseases. I would watch it tho, the normies wouldn't

It's too limiting. There's already medical episodes of Star Trek, you don't need to restrict yourself to just that.
>>
Only if it involved a series long conspiracy with lots of action interwoven somehow. Maybe have a small military escort.

Would a new Star Trek show with an entirely new ship and crew work at all? The new adventures of a 5 year long mission. I don't think the world has the attention span for this.
What even does the Star Trek universe have to offer these days?

>Scrubs Trek
I would watch that.

It would be like Doctors Without Borders, always searching for conflict and disaster zones.
>>
Depends on how trippy they'd make the diseases

>Cardassian patients being treated for Bajoran STDs

It doesn't have to be all about diseases. They could research new species and evacuate people from danger. Be a neutral diplomat. Lots of stuff.

Done.

I said Scrubs, not lowershit.

It would be a soap opera, mongs. It would function more like the 'Lower Decks' episode.
>>
>House but instead of them throwing a dartboard at the 500 most uncommon diseases of all time it's them making up bullshit
Wow, sounds great...

And how were we supposed to know that exactly?
ER is not a soap

>ER is not a soap
Retarded or bait, call it

The transporter can cure absolutely everything by restoring any body part to its previous undamaged state

Star Trek: The Cat and The Brat

The Space Adventures of T'Ana and D'Vana. That's the Elevator Pitch.

The transporter is science fantasy.
