Didn't expect that ending at all. Of course, German guilt ruins another movie.
Anons kept talking about a twist, something about spies and Apocalypse Now, and I watched it expecting that they were the spies, and would execute the dude on sight, who had lost his mind in the course of the war and was doing horrific shit in the name of the Reich.
In the end, it was nothing like that. Can't say it's a bad film, it has its merits, and I enjoyed the ride, but the ending kind of ruined my expectations in a way that left a bitter taste.
7/10.
