Was it the right choice?
>>217171675Nothing wrong with it. They were good as bros. Far bigger problem is the writers seemed to forget how to write her character in the seasons that followed. This show had an irritating habit of someone genuinely charming their way into being a fan favourite and the reward being getting absolutely fuck all to work with
>>217171675What?How?
>>217171675No
Robin is a well written character and Steve ending up on his own is more true to his character
>>217171675>Nepo baby forces a quirk chungus dyke heel turn out of nowhere because she's a high functioning rich sociopath pampered baby who thinks lezzing out is so cute and iconic and SLAYY and men are such scum (she has only dated men and does provocative photoshoots meant to gather lust from male viewers)
>>217171723>>217171723>Nothing wrong with itSpineless bootlicking slopsucking scum like you are the scum of the earth. Literally all sides despise people like you only as far as you're of use as a useful idiot. Get the fuck outta here.
>>217171675aren't actors supposed to just stand on a mark, say a few lines and SHUT THE FUCK UP?
Considering they spent all of season 3 flirting and acting like they wanted to fuck, and they were the only pairing on the show with any real chemistry, it came across as an asspull. It felt deceptive. It seemed very much like what it was, a last minute decision based on something other than genuine character development.
>>217171984>and they were the only pairing on the show with any real chemistryThis. They were perfect together, but in order to keep a captive audience, you must subvert expectations.
>>217171947Not when they're the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke and they're suggesting you make a character gay out of nowhere on a whim and if you say ANYTHING that isn't let's heckin do it yaas kween on the spot, she'll publicly flagellate you and call you buzzwords and make a big incident.
Steve dodge a bullet desuAnd the actor dodge a bullet having to kiss THAT
>>217171675Steve gave off massive gay energy too.
>>217172040She will do as she's told if she wants roles, Ethan and Uma don't have that much star power to intervene.
>>217171675Two white people in my romantic relationship on a Neftlix show? I think not! Better show the redhead kissing the black guy constantly instead, because that happened all the time in the 1980s just like gay guys always came out and it was no big deal too.
>>217171675It made Steve more interesting in that it allowed the story to sidestep a too-obvious romance in a series that already had too many obvious romances. I'd say it made Robin more interesting too, but honestly season 4 and season 5 didn't do much with her beyond the conversation with Will.
>>217172173Nope, it's the other way around. She has more industrial carte blanche (as in, her ma and pa have sucked more jewish dicks than anyone on the production of ST) and if that wasn't enough, she can send the buzzword brigade on them if they dare to not comply with making her gay because she felt like it in the moment because the steve actor made her ick over something completely inconsequential.
>>217171908How’s that bootlicking? I even said they wrecked the character in the following seasons. The last season was dogshit by the way
>>217172245Shut the fuck up, you cumguzzling bootlicker.>NO WAIT ACTUALLY IT'S LE GOOD BECAUSE OF [contrived mental gymnastics and schizo nonsense]end it all already. no one will miss you.>>217172279you defend an obvious bullshit retcon based on the nepo baby threatening to call them buzzwords and getting offended if they don't comply as some kind of wise and agreeable story decision because you're THAT much of an NPC idiot.
>>217172302For a cunt complaining about buzzwords you seem to love using them
>>217172388>if you hate your enemies then why do you breath the same air as them?
>>217171675man, I don't even remember Season 3, except that I vaguely liked it. I will say Robin's coming-out scene is the best coming-out scene in the show by far. But why are there two?
Women can't be gay only men can be gay, lesbians aren't real.
>>217171675I liked the scene where she confessed to Steve, it was really good television. Them both being high, sitting in the toilet booths, talking. It was a very niice scene. But i'm not gonna lie, i kinda think the show is pretty crap so i don't personally care that much about it's characters. I see some sperg sperging out about it and it's pretty pathetic. The show is very mediocre with very few highs.
>>217172418You certainly talk like them thoughbeit.
>>217171675Fuck no. The show lacked a vital source of stakes and drama by not making them each other's love interest. Everyone would root for them and thus any situation where either could die would have significantly upped tension for the audience. Legitimately, making her a lesbian was the worst decision they could have made creatively.
>>217171675>>we feltThere was no "we." Maya's bleeding heart libtarded ass went to the directors and demanded to be a dyke.
>>217172472This
>>217172418One of those things is required to live, the other is not
>>217172532Bro.Everything about her screams she was "coochie snorcher'd" and hard groomed by the "sisterhood" into Hollywood feminist cult.Look at her retarded statements, forcing them to change her character dyke, and the tell-tale sign of anorexia as a way to stay young+self harm. The Hollywood lesbians harvested her and mean girl feminist clique destriyed her mind. We are seeing her crumble in real time and the fact that her parents haven't had an intervention yet speaks volumes.
>>217172245It would have been more interesting if she addressed the fact that they were flirting the whole season. Like acknowledging that she had some more than friendly feelings for Steve but didn't want to pursue something with a man.
>>217171723Thats why King Derek won the stranger thing. Because they couldnt fuck his character.
>>217171675Why do you keep posting about this movie when nobody even watched it?
>>217171675They made very few right choices after season 2
>>217172418Lmao retard
>>217171675this chick can't be gay
>>217171675It could've been the right choice if they decided that from the beginning instead of deciding to do it at the last minute.
>>217175685Anyone can be gay if they want to be
>>217175755Nigga I wish I was gay, dealing with women is exhausting but gay guys give up bussy easily, I just find it too disgusting to even try.
How do I get a Robin gf bros?
The rumor I heard was that the Duffers promised Netflix they would have LGBT representation in the show's second season, and that the plan was to have Billy be a self-hating closet case - this was heavily hinted at through the first half of the season. However, the actor who played Billy found out about it, and flipped out and threatened to quit over it. So Maya Hawke decided to volunteer instead, and the Duffers shrugged their shoulders and quickly rewrote the end of the season, which is why it came off as such a random thing with zero foreshadowing.
>>217175797Based Billy. It also made no sense for his character either, bro loved MILFs and that's extremely straight behavior.
>>217172302sorry to hear about your internet-induced culture war brainrot, but this has nothing to do with a tv show
>>217175797>However, the actor who played Billy found out about it, and flipped out and threatened to quit over itsauce?
>>217171675This would've saved the time S5 wasted on that goofy pointless love triangle
>>217175970>wasted on that goofy pointless love triangleNot even bothering with 5 and didn't finish 4, this series wasted a ton of time on pointless shit. Arguably everything after Season 1. Vecna was there from the start my ass. If he was the puppet of the mind flayer then why wasn't he in season 2
>>217171675Why did Ethan and Uma name their daughter "my cock" what is wrong with them
>>217171675>it seems like the obvious decision >even though nothing about the character indicates it>and I personally shoehorned it in >and they even rewrote the confession scene as a big twist, because it seems so obvious my character is into Steve>and our characters had more chemistry than any other couples on the show >also, after I demanded they make my character gay, they completely rewrote her personality into Quirk Chungus
I've had sex with two lesbians, not at the same time. These experiences have led me to believe lesbianism is fake.
>>217171675yes, everything to push "the message"queer the world
>>217175950Tons of people immediately keyed in on Billy being written as gay during the second season. There were several super homoerotic scenes where he was checking out Steve in the shower, his father was calling him a faggot, and he was massively overcompensating. The actor was interviewed about it and asked if Billy was gay, and he spazzed out and flatly denied it in a way that was way too telling. It was also confirmed later that the Duffers wrote him as more explicitly racist, but he refused to say the lines because he felt it would be detrimental to his career. https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2017/10/31/stranger-things-2-actor-doesnt-think-his-character-is-racist-or-gay/
>>217176241He made the right moves imo, the character didn't need any of that extra bullshit. Gotta wonder just how racist they wanted him to be if he was afraid it would damage his career.
>>217176205GAY!
>>217175797>>217175827>acts like a hyper masculine womanizer to hide from the gay thoughts >antagonizes the cutest boy in school and touches him in the shower I could see it. Makes more sense than Robin, which came out of left field completely.
S1 > S3 > S4 > S2 > S5
>>217176441>S3 > S4
>>217176499Billy is the best character in the series.
>>217175797This makes no sense. Why would they hire someone without giving them the character concept of what they'd be playing? There would be no reason to hide that during casting.
>>217176440Womanizer for MILFs mostly though, even closeted gays don't go for older women. Antagonzing and dominating someone in a vulnerable state (i.e a communal shower) is also a pretty masculine thing.
>>217175827No it's fucking not. Sex is for reproduction. Old women cannot reproduce, it's the same fucking thing as being a faggot. You don't give a shit about biologic or social consequences you just want pure hedonism using holes like a hit of drugs.
>>217176636>having sex with women for pleasure is gay
I think they would make a great couple, but it's not that Robin isn't bad for being gay, I just think it would be nice if she and Steve were a couple.
>>217171984It felt like she was sperging out and making excuses to hide her feelings. It makes no fucking sense for a woman to continue the lesbo act when a decent guy shows interest.Real lesbianism comes from being a runthrough whore or being raped by jewish producers.
>>217175797>>217176241Damn maybe they should've had Billy just write more of the series
>>217176241Now that his career is over can he say it?It's funny how Max is so fucked up because the guy looking out for her died.
>>217176667If they aren't at least potentially pregnant when you're done, it's gay.
>>217176241that would explain all these weird scenes of him harassing steve 4 no raisin. practically swordfighting in this shower scene, comical
>>217176241He was right. We didn't need a rant about why he didn't want Max to associate with Lucas
>>217176936>Max, let me tell you, Max>his kind make up just 13% of the population and yet…
>>217171675It was the right choice considering she now looks like a Skeleton Warrior
>>217176516>Hey do you want to be cast in the second season of the hottest TV show on earth as this new character Billy? This role is the opportunity of a lifetime. The only catch is that he's a closet case bully who says some racist stuff because his father's an asshole. We have a big redemption arc planned for him that explores his trauma, and it has a coming out story and everything. Are you cool with that?>Of course, I'll do whatever you say. Thanks for the chance, I won't let you down.A year later:>Just so you know, even though we've already filmed half the season and it's impossible for you to fire me now without millions of dollars and tons of extra reshoots, I changed my mind. I've decided that I'm not going to play this role the way you wrote because it would damage with my imagined future career as a leading man, and I won't these racist lines. Call my agent if you have any questions.
>>217172245It actually reduced his character back into pining over Nancy. I honestly believe if they went with Stobin Steve would've had Eddie's death..
>>217171675>Lesbo gets corrected by the endKino trope but it's kikeflix so of course it wouldn't happen.
>>217171675>write a coming out scene on the fly during filming>it's poetic, believable and poignant>write a coming out scene you've been building up to from season 1>it's one of the worst scenes of the show
>>217171675she aged like shit king steve dodged a bullet
