Name a better ending to a show in the past 10 years.
The ending was good, the final episode is kino.What's not good is the setup from the previous seasons. Sayid coming back to life, the whole ancient civilization thing, the smoke monster Locke instead of the original Locke, the boring psychic and his red head friend, the koreans dying on the submarine, those things were weird.

The reason why LOST got a reputation as having a bad ending is because casuals watched the first few seasons then got bored and/or bailed when it got too weird and complicated. Most gave up sometime during season 2/3/4. It was only the hardcore nerds who were watching season 5 and 6.Those people then returned to watch the finale episode without any fucking context about what had been happening in season 6 regarding the flash sideways and all the other late season lore, hoping and expecting that the finale would tie together neatly all the mysteries that were introduced in the first 2/3 seasons and explain the entire show in one episode. But as we all know, the finale makes literally zero fucking sense if you haven't been watching the entirety of season 6 closely, particularly the flash sideways, so it's no wonder that all those casuals got filtered by the ending.Anyone who has half a brain and who has rewatched the show at least once, knows that the finale is kino of the highest order and is arguably the best finale to any show, other than maybe Six Feet Under.

I'm not a faggot who rates episodes, but when Lost aired back in the day the finale was a letdown for most because it left many a mystery unexplained. At least that's how it was perceived anyway. It might not have helped that most didn't have the luxury to go back and forth between episodes and seasons like today and catch every hint in hindsight. I recently went back and rewatched the whole series and lo and behold, it was nowhere near as bad as I originally thought too. I found the ending endearing, actually.

FUCK man i just remembered lost. i never watched it when it was on, but I remember during one summer, it was available on hulu, and i got through something like 3-4 seasons, then it either left hulu or i stopped watching because i got fed up with so many FUCKING ADS. this had to be back in the early 2010s, or maybe it was even still airing in the late 2000s. but now theres 121 episodes and its so far out of the modern culture that i dont think theres even a point to watching it if you didnt get to watch it live when it was a cultural phenomenon
