The jews hate RVs because they cant scam you on rent
>>
trailer parks vary wildly in quality depending on the area, I used to live in a pretty nice one but I've driven past others that are Detroit looking shitholes with trash everywhere

same thing with the homes themselves, some are cramped nightmares, but a newly built double wide can be really spacious and nice, the one I was in was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom one with a huge kitchen and a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom

the stigma around them kinda died since the economy is liquid shit and now even a poopass mobile home is like $110k, they used to be considered super trashy since they were cheap and turbo poorfags lived in them

Modern "van life" culture has been heavily glamourized by social media personalities who sell the idea that living like that is adventurous and liberating and play down the compromises with comfort and safety. Also videos about building fancy "tiny homes on wheels" is an entire genre of youtube in itself.

How soundproof were the better ones? Like, if you had a good home theatre/sound system, would your neighbors hear it?

for me it's the guys who turn old shipping containers into homes

Ricky lived in a car and was the most cleverest guy in the park.

Most zoomers with a university education will never even afford a trailer.

My grandma lived on one of these near the end of her life and it was pretty nice and had a surprising amount of space. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

There is literally no distinction between a double-wide and a house in any suburb now except whether they build it on the lot or deliver it there.

The geography of the USA is perfect for the nomadic lifestyle, but the setllers were too dumb and stubborn to understand that.

>tfw no place to talk about housing design
>it's all just poorfags coping with tiny "homes" or wannabe urban planners talking about apartments, public transit, and city layouts
It's going to be a long time before we can transition the modern shitbox into something better

It's better than living in a pod. The problem with trailer parks was more the neighborhood than the trailers themselves. Though with how everything is so much more expensive trailers are shifting to the middle class/retirees downsizing.

most have a parking spot nearby and a fence for a backyard

>pitbulls everywhere, often without leashes
>1 out of 3 yards has at least two cars on blocks
>80% pure white trash, 20% Mexican families of 15+ living in one double wide
>white trash couples screaming at their kids or each other constantly
>sense of being elevated but with a low ceiling so it feels like the office from Being John Malkovich
yep, sounds great

I'm considering moving innawoods to a small home. With solar and starlink my life would basically be the same if I can figure out plumbing.

As a child I had 2 friends who lives in mobile homes.

Ones dad was a computer programmer and he just wanted a cheap piece of land with no one bothering him.

The other was the son of a second generation Greek immigrant that worked at the local plants. And they were considerably poorer. But it seems his dad made the same decision for cheap land cheap house and no government bothering him.

But yeah you should buy a 1/8 acre of land with an hoa

You guys haven't looked lately, motherfuckers are like $800 and up now
You get to pay 50 grand up front for the rickety ass box and still pay $800 a month for the privilege of the concrete pad under it
>>

Where I live crappy apartments are 1600$/month. Even if the lot fee was 800 it would still be cheaper than an apartment even with mortgage payments, and alot cheaper once it's paid off. More importantly you're detached from your neighbors, living cramped together is for brown people.
>>
I would only want to live in a mobile home if I lived way out rurally and didn't have zoning restriction. Then I could see the benefits of getting one hauled out there and dropped. That would be peaceful and you could build onto it, build a barn or outbuilding. Not be bothered by anyone. But living in a trailer park? Fuck that. They have the reputation they do for a reason.
