The return was good yet alot more weird & different but fire walk with me is probably my favorite thing of the whole series & is the best of tp imo, just wish Lynch included more of the deleted scenes or a highend directors cut would come out.

One of the best American television series ever made. There's a rough patch during the middle part of the second season after the murder mystery is resolved, both showrunners were doing other projects and the remaining writers were coming up with filler more or less by the seat of their pants.

It picks up again in the last four episodes of the season when David Lynch literally comes in personally to bring the plot back. It's all peak fiction from there.

It's a story about a teenage girl self destructing due to the abuse she suffered and the town turning a blind eye to save their reputation. Many viewers were not ready for that but I appreciate the balls on Lynch for taking it in that direction.
