they're still 10/10
>>
literally no one except low effort trolls says otherwise
>>
Fellowship: 9/10
Towers: 8/10
King: 6/10, or 4/10 if you're watching Extended Edition, and you probably are. Zoomers always gobble up their Extended Editions and Director's Cuts.
>>
Fellowship is like a 7/10 flick. The others are dull marvelslop with quips and hamfisted feminist slogans.
>I AM NO LE MAN
Cringe.
>>

This is the only trilogy that I know of that was filmed all in one go so the quality is consistent through and through. Now even the OT had different directors and each one has flaws that are exclusive to each movie

too long

They're a 6/10 at best.

Actually insane. What the fuck is a 10/10 to you?
>The others are dull marvelslop with quips and hamfisted feminist slogans.
>hamfisted
Lol, you don't know the source material. And how the fuck is this "marvelslop"? or whatever that even means?
>>

>the quality is consistent through and through.

Don't darken my doorstep with your lies. Anyone can see that the trilogy mutated over time. The Fellowship was reasonably faithful to the novel, about as much as you could hope. Usually in that film the action scenes corresponded to action scenes in the source material. In ROTK Jackson went wild with his technological toys and fabricated new actions scenes for his Hollywood theme park ride. Constant action, constant battles. The book isn't like that.

this kind of makes them hard to judge objectively imo, as a nigger and fag free movie gets bonus points from most people here

Ignore the brown man, says the black man.

I can watch all 3 of these on repeat on a loop and never get bored or agitated by them
What more could I possibly want from a kino trilogy juggernaut?

Matrix 2 and 3 were filmed in one go, and released within 6 months.

Easily 10/10.
I don't see the point of even arguing about them considering they were all made at the same time.
Hell I still see people compare the "3 books" even though they are really either 1 book or 6 books.
>>
>>217198348
I am no longer able to force myself to watch Two Towers and Return of the King.
The feel like a slog with no wonder component that made Fellowship so great.
In Fellowship we go from peaceful green hills of Hobbiton to rainy dirty Brill, to swampy Eregion, to beautiful autumn Rivendell, to snowy peaks of Caradhras, to dark mines of Moria to golden Lothlorien to forests of Anduin.
In Towers it is just grass steppes for 3 hours.
Same with Return.
And the characters barely travel, they just talk and fight.
Surely story beats are here but between them are rather boring parts.
Fellowship feel the only one worthy of watching.
It is 10/10, while TT and Return are like 7.5/10.
>>
>>217198348
Fellowship maybe. The other two are boring proto-capeshit with zero sense of adventure or wonder
>>
>>217198694
>muh source material
This is like prequelfags whining that you need to read 40 comic books and play 18 videos games to understand star wars. I judge movies based on the movie, not whatever gay supplementary material you care about.
>how the fuck is this "marvelslop"?
Superficial action movies where the characters say funny quips to break tension and get the 80 IQ retards watching to hoot and holler
>LETS THROW LE DWARF!
>THAT STILL ONLY COUNTS AS LE ONE!
Embarrassing
>>
Lotr is just fantasy capeshit. It's not art, it's something you watch when you want to watch brainless entertainment. I believe /tv/ overrates it because of their weird proclivity for connecting it with their politics. You cannot refute this
>>
>>217198570
>King: 6/10, or 4/10
this
there's no excuse for not including a scene in which one of the biggest antagonists dies
>>
>>217198798
Go away, fujo, the Stranger Things thread is that way
>>
1 is a very good adventure film. 2 is meandering bullshit cursed by being the middle child, only good for the end battles. 3 is just lame
>>
>>217198660
>no bipocs or LGBTQ representation
There was though. During the scenes where the screen goes black, look into your TV and you can clearly see them.
>>
>>217198754
Return of the king is the most boring book as well though
