>>217209452The only thing that makes is that Jotaro stopped time just before the explosion and got out, then let time move again for the explosion to happen, then froze it again to break Dio's leg. But this would mean that Dio was not conscious of Jotaro's first time stop but was conscious of the second one, which doesn't really make sense so it's not a perfect explanation. You just have to accept that it's a hole in the writing, there's a lot of those in the series and people willfully overlook them because the high points are really good.

The way this affects people is inconsistent and the way king crimson is presented in the first encounter is wildly different from the rest of its appearances. Araki fucked it up pretty bad.
