Still better than any Sony camera
>>
Can we go back to film please
>>
>>217213036
You do know it's an instant print CAMERA, right? It doesn't shoot video at all, just single still photos. The knob simply applies a predefined filter.
>>
>>217213101
Right is more interesting
>>
>>217213146
except this is the "cinema" version that actually does also shoot video. It prints photos with the option to include a QR code on the image that when you scan it with a phone it shows you a low resolution video montage of clips shot with that camera. it's gimmicky nostalgiabait for social media slop
>>
>>217213101
is that form Wicked?
>>

Fuji only make gimmick shit now because all their money is made from Instax. Their pro stuff is an afterthought these days.

>Every time a new camera comes out, movies get worse
Name a movie made from 2024 and older that looks better than Better Man.
Pro tip: (you can't).
>>
>>217213036
>Limited to 15 second clips maximum at a time
>Need a specific app from Fujifilm that allows you to take two clips maximum and stitch them into a 30 second clip total
no.

I switched from Fuji to Nikon and couldn't be happier

Rumble in the Bronx, The Spy Next Door, Jaden Smith Karate Kid, Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, Rush Hour 3, Around the World in 80 Days (2004)

>>
>>217213410
Oh nm it's purely to post tiktokslop. This will fail because it's ultimately just a pointless brick a girl has to fit in her purse in addition to her phone which already does all of that.
>>
>>217213036
The biggest factor that prevents no budget filmmaking from taking off is the location fees. It's extremely difficult to find decent places to film that don't break the bank. And I'm just talking mundane shit like offices or grocery stores.
You want to do an action set piece like a bank robbery or a tactical shoot out? You're fucked.
Procuring a decent camera hasn't been an issue in over 15 years. And more than that, this camera looks like shit and will take worse video than a dslr from 15 years ago
>>
>>217213426
Welcome to Fuji. Turning actual control buttons and dials into gimmick controls is their thing.

They fell for the APS-C meme and are now completely fucked.
>>
>>217213036

not the only product of this type. They are just cheap digital cameras made to resemble old 8mm movie cameras. I cant imagine why anybody would buy this.

it might not. remember pic rel? this was super popular in college a decade ago when instagram was king. young girlies might flock to the new tiktok version.
>>
>>217213535
To be honest, they knew getting into the full frame fight against the big three would pretty much be impossible, so I actually think they made a smart decision focusing on aps-c priced under their full frame counterparts, but then have medium format cameras (and now the GFX Eterne medium format cinema camera) above the big full frame cameras, but at a lower price than other medium formats is smart.
That being said, the difference between an aps-c camera and full frame was night and day for me. Never touching aps-c again.
>>
>>217213552
Because super 8 footage and instax photos are the hottest shit among 15-40 aged girls/women.
I see wedding photographers sell super 8 packages so they have real super 8 footage from the ceremony and shit like that.
Fuji make an absolute fucking fortune from their instax products
>>
>>217213036
No, it's shitty digital with a cheap film emulation fx plugin. It's for idiot zoomers too stoopit to calculate a fuckin exposure bc they're the dumbest generation that ever existed.

Fuck all this, fuck everyone and and fuck you too OP god damn
>>
>>217213609
>>217213535
If they really wanted to attract new buyers, they'd release a GFX camera for under $2000, make medium format actually seem within reach of normies

Ever heard of guerilla filmmaking? Just use an action cam with some good ND filters/gimble/boom mic and you’ve got all you need to make kino. Just gotta pretend like you’re making le quirky instagram vids with your buds if anyone karens out
>>
>>217214142
so...? doesnt polaroid have one of those for like a decade now?
>>

Name a Dogme95 film that gained widespread international recognition outside of its respective circle
>>
>>217214208
>Ever heard of guerilla filmmaking?
Yeah, I literally do it. But you have to be fucking retarded to try going guerilla if guns/action/stuntwork is involved. And you can't exactly shoot guerilla in a bank or someone's home.

>>

That's not going to happen. Every camera they introduced (outside of the GFX Eterna) since the X100VI had gimmick buttons replace the actual controls you want. They refuse to do firmware updates on glaring mistakes and stuff. They're essentially the most "Japanese" company out of the big Japanese camera companies.
Even the GXF100RF had a gimmick dial (and you couldn't open the aperture enough to actually take advantage of the medium format sensor.. so the whole point of getting a medium format camera was just pointless).
And they price stuff way too high. They used to be good mid price options and light weight compared to the bigger and more expensive counter parts. But now the XT-5 is basically the same price as a Nikon Zf. I mean, there's zero reason to pick the XT-5 over the Zf.

Closest I've ever been to an Arri camera was somebody doing a few shots for a commercial in the guitar store I was working in. It was for a bank or something and they wanted some generic lifestyle shots.
Talked a bit with the guy operating it. Told him how jelly I was he got to work with an Arri Alexa. This was around the time Drive just came out.
>>
>>217214669
You're also forgetting that nostalgia for the 80s bricks is dying off. People now are more nostalgic for the 90s and 2000s cameras and their superior ergonomics.
Fuji back then was known for their S series of F-mount cameras with Super CCD sensors which are still renowned to this day for their color depth and dynamic range
>>
>>217213036
Objective Fact: Fuji has the best colors
>>
>>217214048
Guess I'll be sticking with the old 645 while I can find film.
>>
Why does it have a time travel knob?
>>
>>217214799
Idk about their movie or even digital cameras

When I shot 35mm it was either Kodak or Fuji for most people and I always preferred Fuji's deeper blues & cool colors to Kodak's warmer tone. I only bought Kodak when I was out of pocket and it was the only thing available

Did they have to make it look like a gun?
>>
No. Only idiots believe hardware revolutionizes creative industries. Movies aren't good or bad because of what kind of camera or other equipment you have access to, the quality it's directly based in the creative capacity of the person running the show. A good artist can make good art with anything. A bad artist makes bad art even with millions or billions of dollars at their disposal. I should not need to prove this to you, because it's obvious and self evident. People just don't like hearing this because everyone wants to believe they can do anything they want and are only held back by technical limitations, but in reality that's all just a big cope for losers and pussies.
>>
>>217215015
sigh
another ploy by the cia to keep the black man down.
>>
>>217214345
why not? I'm sure they'll understand you just wanted authentic footage for your indie film if you show up to a bank and pull out a prop gun

That's right. There have been literally thousands of bad, or forgettable, movies shot on film. The aquisition format doesn't really make a difference if a movie is good or bad.
