It's a idealized wagie planet where everything is comfy, with no real conflict. They believe they're handling an important function for The Republic. They don't know the Clone Wars happened, they don't know about the Empire's rise and fall, or that the Jedi are mostly extinct. They don't know the New Republic is a thing now.

The whole story is these kids leaving their cozy planet and seeing how fucked up the rest of the galaxy is, with pirates after them.
I just rewatched disneywars and realized why it feels so soullessThey didn't make a living breathing world. Lucas was able to make a galaxy and we're catching glimpses of it. Meanwhile disney took the "lets just show some 'cool' incoherent scenes that vaguely set in star wars" like it was a checklist
