Not really that different to having Scooby Dum on the show. But then it goes off the rails. Fred, Daphne and Velma are gone. It's too bad they didn't steal my idea for a modern Scooby Doo>A joint operation between the Vatican's Swiss Guard and the US Government, "Mystery Inc." is a clandestine operation that travels the world and investigates paranormal activity. FRED is a former SEAL Team 6 operator with almost two decades of experience from leading Special Ops missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Switzerland. Daphne is a CIA field officer trained in deception, recruiting human assets, and extracting information by any means necessary. Velma is the top alumni of the NSA's TAO program, in other words the best hacker in the government. Shaggy is an Archbishop, who previously served as a clergyman in war zones. Scooby is actually a friendly demon who has possessed a Great Dane (which is how he can talk). He and Shaggy met during the Russo-Georgian War in 2008. Together, the five operatives travel the world fighting ghosts, zombies, vampires, aliens, werewolves, all kinds of shit. The show would basically be a cross between Strike Back and The Exorcist.Maybe I'll write a pilot myself

>>217240878Did anyone actually like that show? Not in a "so bad it's good" way, but in a "I think this has artistic merit" kind of way
>>217224681Doofags mostly understand that the franchise fluctuates in quality and will accept mid if it’s fun. If it’s shit then it’ll be another eye roll.>>217226841If they don’t want to do a “this time the monsters are real” story again, the other obvious pick is an origin story for S1.>>217226927Nah. The biggest shakeup that they could do that would be interesting is Shaggy/Daphne and Fred/Velma. Genderswapping won’t make anyone happy.>>217227375Doo is still relevant.>>217232740Scrappy saved the ratings but he’s too obtrusive to the dynamic. The people who autistically hate him are weird though.>>217235238Mostly mid, some garbage, some kino. It has untapped potential still.>>217238534Doo never stops coming out.>>217240910Velma or Stranger Things? ST had a good first season and is a good direction for live action Scooby. If you mean Velma, outside of some of the animation, no it’s hated.
>>217240997Sorry multi-reply anon, but I was talking about Velma not Stranger Things. I've only seen up to season 3 of ST, and I agree it's a least a good start if they do want to create a season long arc. Season 1 of ST is perfectly cold and desolate and adds to the creepiness of Will's disappearance. Also a good conspiracy show, which I think a Scooby-Doo show would benefit greatly from. I seriously just want X-Files: The Mystery Inc. Chronicles
>>217234840Doubt it, WB was too protective of Scooby (the dog) to allow him to participate in Velma, so I doubt this will be above a PG-13. Maybe they could get away with more horror, but no drugs and shit.
>>217241100Yeah Velma botched the idea of “Scooby-Doo for adults” by not really being Scooby-Doo, and being less appealing to adults than, say, Zombie Island. It had decent boarding, some good animation, and gave us nudity and blood, but turning everyone into an asshole that you hate was clearly not a popular move.
>>217241136It was just extremely mean spirited, like they were all upset they HAD to work on a scooby-doo show instead of something original. In the words of the nerd, what were they thinking?!
>>217224199Sounds terrible
>>217232469Is that missing the one that always had guest stars, or was that The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries? A lot of the early ones kind of blend together.
Who's into this shit?
>>217224199It was never good, not ever.
