The fact that this isn't the BIGGEST story all over the entertainment industry right now is blowing my mind.
AI is less than 6 months from being completely photo/video real.
This is from a guy that has remade his prior "slop" videos. You can see the insane progression of the models now.
These before and after shots are at the same moment in both videos.
The film industry will have to shut it all down immediately or they're fucked forever.

This. Just more slop regardless. Until I can instantly generate a Hermione common room gangbang scene in perfect accurate detail while already jerking off, it's useless to me.

This is also just the shit they're letting the public use now; it's safe to assume high-level actors have had access to photorealistic generation for a long time now. No image or video from the past decade minimum can actually be confirmed real.

It all feels crappy. There's no genuine human emotion in any of it. It's something not yet overcome. The Artificial Creator of content is not gud enough yet. I am convinced that it shall be, soon. However, I still reserve hope that this madness will ultimately consume itself. It. Isn't. Creative. Not in the human sense. It's a tool designed to use other tools. But human imperfection is not a thing easily mimicked, nor replicated. This is, indeed, a brave new world.

Animals can be creative, in a way relative to them: ants, apes, and so forth. But the fundamental problem, for me, is knowing that the image presented on the screen is not of a human. This threshold may be crossed, but it hasn't been totally convincing yet. We should all hope that it cannot be replicated. The reproductions of that could be detrimental.

It's sort of like a complete novice trying to self-publish a story, but with no knowledge of story structure, character development, editing, formatting, or other shibboleth-adjacent aspects that immediately out it as amateur trash to those that do know; you quite literally don't know enough about what it is you're trying to get a machine to imitate, so it will always look bad.

Stable diffusion, the open source ai image/video generator dropped three years ago and has been at the forefront of every advancement. It was the first (and maybe still only) generator with negative prompts, the source of the first will smith eating spaghetti videos, training on consumer hardware in reasonable amounts of time, so on, so forth.

The reason there’s this huge arms race between Fortune 500 companies to train big models fast with massive data centers is they’re playing catchup. free exchange of ideas with an open source technology has left them in the dust.

>i have such low expectations for artistic direction, succinctness, and meaning that putting media in a blender and shoveling out it to me by a computer is indistinguishable from real art
Real talk, what is the appeal of this board for you? /tv/ hates 90% of movies and tv for being soulless, why would you come here and expect algorithmic slop by a LLM to gain any sort of traction?
There are a thousand stories/movies/shows about how bad endless directionless entertainment will be for people and you expect us not to bring up parallels to what you're trying to achieve?

I'm too poisoned by MCU to get hype for a generic superhero trailer. You'd have to show me something crazy like this to get me excited:

Go look at the last few years’ crop of “professional” porn “stars” and then look at onlyfans and ai porn and tell me porn hasn’t decided that ai is here to stay, provided you even know how to see ai porn.

The repeated use of the word SLOP is to turn the public against A.I. because it's seen as a threat to the entertainment industry when people can now practically make their own entertainment while companies spend 500+ million making actual SLOP that no one wants.

But you might have noticed that no one is using the word SLOP when talking about A.I. replacing people who work in I.T. or other technology sectors because it benefits them by getting rid of people. But in this case it's the opposite as people don't need companies and corporations and that's scaring them, so they're engaging in a massive campaign to convince people to not embrace A.I. for entertainment purposes.

Its like how SJW identity politics started skyrocketing across the media after the Occupy Wall Street movement to create strife amongst people over issues such as race, gender and/or sexual orientation to distract everyone from the crimes committed by the corporations and banks that crashed the world economy, of which no one was ever held accountable, well, maybe except for Bernie Madoff but then his mistake was stealing from other rich people!

The sad thing is that over the last few years I've see soo many incredible things produced with A.I. showing more imagination and creativity than any of the SLOP "entertainment" over at least the last decade from movies, tv show, videogames, comics etc....

I'd have sympathy if the media hadn't spent the last 10-15 years weaponizing entertainment as a part of their culture war against customers (i.e. white straight males) and using social media to destroy peoples lives and run everything into the ground with deliberate malicious intent because they're narcissistic sociopathic NPC's with the minds of children who never developed emotionally beyond grade school and their Daddy issues.

Whatever, A.I. is here and screaming SLOP over and over isn't going save Hollywood from it and I for one will enjoy watching them burn in the pyre they created for themselves while pissing on their ashes in celebration of their long over due demise!!!FACT!!!

It should be noted that PORN has often been the deciding factor when it cums to technology.

For instance it ended the Beta/VHS-HDDVD/Blu-ray Wars as in both cases the latter was favored over the former by the porn industry which was the deciding factor!!!FACT!!!

I see this is the latest buzzword being used by NPC's!!!!FACT!!!

>This is an outdated stance. Porn didn't decide on bluray. Video gaming did. Gaming is the most profitable industry in media. You're being dishonest, because you're a pervert. Perverts always lie in order to self-justify their moral failings as men.

Videogames take YEARS to make while porn is produced almost instantly, so it's always about getting more bang for your buck, literally and figuratively, so in both cases it was based on how much you could put onto a disc or videotape which is why VHS and Blu-ray won!!!FACT!!!

The saddest part of this post is that you can't do it in your head. You are a soulless husk; barely able to be considered a human because you are aphantasiaic.

I don't think you considered the facts. Any and all forms of art that can appeal to more audiences than perverts will be and are inevitably more influential, innovative, and industrious than pornography. Pornography is fringe. Pornography is vile. Pornography is morally debased. Pornography has not influenced humanity towards any semblance of furthering infrastructure. Anything you, or anyone, could ever ascribe to pornography - in terms of this subject - is not only dishonest, but also done entirely in vain. You can always fool the simple into believing any reality you present, but God will always present to you the unfiltered truth in execution. You are simply a pervert.

It's slop and the creator is a talentless hack. A few minutes of aura farming poses that are all the exact same length, made from stolen art assets is not a movie. It's garbage, junk, not worth the electricity it cost to make it. It took no talent and the sloperator who made it had no respect or appreciation for the craft and the process by which these misappropriated assets were made.

I award this "movie" zero points and may God have mercy on your soul.
