Mason was captured in 1962 and escaped Alcatraz in 1963, then was recaptured sometime in the 70s. And even if you somehow try to fit those timelines together, it doesn't account for all the other actors who played Bond from the 70s through the 90s, unless you somehow think only Connery was the "real" James Bond, or had his own separate timeline.
