It's very clever but the constant swearing ruins it.

>A Bit of Fry and Laurie
Never watched this but I find it hard to believe it's your number 1

Always felt very try hardy to me. The Death of Stalin however is superb. Clearly the creator clearly feels full of himself when it comes to British politics.

Yeah it does give that impression. I couldn't get through it when i tried to watch it recently, i got a few seasons in and dropped it. I didn't outright hate it, but i just wasn't enjoying it all that much.

Yeah I think I watched a season or two but I can barely remember any of the jokes, and the ones I do remember weren't even funny. Actually most of the jokes I remember were from the movie In The Loop now that I think about it.

The franchise if you can call it that is just all too "intense" in its execution, too much shouting, too much swearing, too many over the top threats—tediously dramatic but also in a very boring way. I think a lot of the "hook" was it was meant to be a "smart" show about the black comedy known as British politics so also feels like it has a stick up its arse about the subject matter which really takes away from the comedy

Yet, "Yes Prime/Minster" is gold. Not sure why that is since they're conceptually similar

I remember Chelmsford 123 being quite good, if you can find it. There were a few short-lived ones from the 90s, but I can only vaguely remember some scenes/sketches, never mind the names of the shows.

>Porridge
That's good, as is Dad's Army.

Laurie>>>>>Fry

Just watch Yes, Minister
>>
Fffucking ffffaggots.
>>
IDK, but I watched The Thin Blue Line and now i'm watching Allo 'Allo!
>>
I have Yes Minister, but I had to stop when they returned to the "government is byzantine" comedy well for the 9th time in 3 episodes

Jeeves and Wooster was good
