>>217238081The relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan is horrible and we are given no reason to care about their friendship, they hardly interact in episode one and in two they are separated for most of the runtime and when they are together they just bicker and argue. The only time they actually seem to enjoy each others company is the intro for episode 3 but they are then promptly kept apart again. Anakin comes off as a creepy weirdo right from the start so his descent lacks any emotional impact, you never get the impression that this is the good man that Obi-Wan was reminiscing about in the first movie. The Jedi are a bunch of boring assholes with zero personality yet when they get killed in order 66 it's presented like this big sad moment despite the audience having zero reason to give a shit about these people dying beyond "uhh they're the good guys!" Also, Obi-Wan in episode two is presented with all the pieces of information necessary to piece together Palpatines entire plot and for some reason just never figures it out, I guess he's just an idiot or something.
