Leo's character is shown to deep down be kind of a conservative guy, once he has a kid with her he wants to settle down and create a stable nuclear family environment for her, and once he grows older he's shown to dislike liberals and progressivism, for example gender identity politics. So, in a sense, while yes it is nonsense, it works for what the movie is trying to do. An ugly insane sexually aggressive sheboon is the perfect foil to show that Leo is really just desperate for pussy. It makes no sense in a realistic way, but if you view her purely as a satire of far left politics, it works.
The only halfway bold commentary this movie tried to make is that the so-called modern "revolutionaries" stand for nothing. There was no interesting or new commentary about conservatives(they're racist/blissfully ignorant) and the depiction of black people and the native american "race traitor" was flat out racism. Its main issue is that it tried to engage serious topics in a lighthearted way except not really, and it wasn't intelligent enough to pull it off. The secret organization of racists for example, they did a good job of capturing the modern liberal mindset(that racists are simultaneously low IQ mockery fodder and a disturbingly significant political force) but it wasn't funny, reflective of reality, or convincing in universe. It does capture the liberal worldview pretty well and it will probably be remembered for that if nothing else. The movie is the personification of that one sort of funny guy whose third joke isn't really a joke and the interaction ends with the sense that he spends way too much time scrolling on twitter staring at politics
