I can't believe Searchlight fucked up the release of this movie so much. This deserves a lot more attention than it is getting.

Apparently it's pretty polarising, a love-it-or-hate-it type flick. Not a good sign that the movie didn't get picked up immediately following its premiere in Venice back in September either, Seachlight only agreed to pick it up a month later. And the movie didn't get shortlisted for any Oscars yet either, even though the nigga who did the score for The Brutalist did this movie too and he won the Oscar last year. If it doesn't get any awards buzz then it's basically over. I guess it doesn't help that a flick like Marty Supreme is stealing its indie thunder.
