When did it peak?
>>217254646It's all downhill after season 4
S2
>>217254666a peak implies a dropoff so, season 4
>>217254646Is Michael's change in appearance and personality post s1 ever acknowledged within the show?
>>217254690>>217254666Season 4 is the last truly good season but it's also not that great because it got writer's striked. Lots of double episodes and gimmicky plots (traveling to new locations as a stand in for character writing), especially compared to season 3 which had the Stamford thing in the beginning but that was only for half the season.
>>217254722He watched the David Brent documentary in preparation for the Dunder Mifflin one and tried to play it up for the camera.
>>217254744God I forgot about all the double episodes. I can binge the series all day but I can hardly get through the 44 min ones and I'm not sure why
Michael Scott Paper Company
>>217254962>John passed this up for that bulldyke Emily Cunt
>>217254785I was watching the first show during the pandemic lockdown when I had a shitty wfh job with horrible work timings. The job started the moment I woke up early morning till almost midnight and some days I had to work even after midnight. I would just watch The Office during dinner break in my room as a 20-30 minute escape from my grueling work. The 44 minute episodes did piss off whenever I encountered them since I couldn't really watch them fully before I had to go back to work. Had to adjust some sort of cutoff point and continue watching it next day
The real downfall was whoever decided darryl's worthless ass needed to be a main character. Also Andy was never good at any point.
>>217254962Jenna a CUTE
>>217254996How was he supposed to know she was going to bog herself?
>>217254646Season 2. Season 3 was alright but Season 2 and 1 were the pinnacle. The office road trip episode where jim asks pam out was when it jumped the shark, which would have been fine for a finale but they entered Season 4 with a writers strike and nothing to do with the characters because the major intrigue of the show had been resolved. Beyond that making Michael redeemable, something they tried to do in S2 but went overboard on in 3&4 was the death of the series.
>>217254646Is there a single person who actually likes Andy? Why was there never any discussion about how there’s nothing to like about Andy?
>>217255115they were just desperate to push him since Ed Helms was becoming a decently popular film actor, and that's why Andy is like 5 different characters across the show, and not one of them ever actually works aside basically from the original run where he builds up to the sperg out and punches the wall, but original Andy should've just never come back
This ruined so many men if she has a fiance move on you creep
>>217254646whichever season finale where jim doesnt take the new york job and runs back to scranton to ask pam out. should have ended right there, the whole driving force of the show is resolved and gone. happy ending, leave it up to your imagination. it was too big after that and was already stretching the premise of hanging out with your co workers. for every little adventure every episode. it became painfully obvious it was just a dumb tv show when the whole point was to be this understated documentary view that sends up dreary corporate life. flanderization.
>>217255079I like Daryl
>>217254646The office romance between Jim and Pam distracted from the humor of the show but maybe was necessary to progress the story. Unrequited love is better for comedy. Jim and Pam are an irritating ‘perfect’ couple. Jim is sort of a douche anyway. The best characters are the eccentric and flawed ones, not the cool guy normies.
"A Benihana Christmas" is the shark jump for the Office.
>>217255202I mean if your fiance left you for another guy then she probably was never a keeper to begin withBreakup is better than a divorce
when it was canceled
>>217254646Season 2
>>217254646Dinner party
I am literally becoming Dwight. Not just the nerd interest but the outdoor rural survivalist angle too. I moved out of Toronto 5 years ago and moved to a small rural town. Now my family owns like 80 chickens and 3 cows.
>>217254646When the British original concluded. The american show is just hammy jokes sanitized for americas culture of easily offended christian yuppie fucks.
>>217256329Shows what you know. Yuppies are typically atheists not christcucks.
>>217255202No that’s not true - the deal there is “engaged = fair play; married = off limits” and that’s been the case long before the office ever aired on tv
>>217255079Andy was good until they tried to make him redeemable. Same with every character on the show
>>217256448No it hasn't lol. You shouldn't orbit a girl with a boyfriend let alone a fiance.
>>217256560A ring doesn't plug a hole.
>>217254962Would
>>217255202yeah what a joke. the writers are creeps for pushing this tripe
>>217256594muh dick whoremonger mentality that backfires everytime
>>217255163I remember Helms being in a bunch of shit and now it feels like he barely gets work.
>>217255108Season 4 kind of feels like a victory lap, the episodes were almost certainly made from scrapped scripts and the characters had nothing to do but I liked what they went for with Ryan being the main character as far as arcs go. Like everything was resolved as far as Jim/Pam so they were able to just have these fully formed characters bounce off of each other in really fun ways, lots of buddy plots with Michael/Dwight etc. Sending it off with Goodbye Tobey is also a nice touch, really "felt" like a finale.
The show should have ended at New Boss, the first Charles episode of season 5. Change my mind.
>>217257256Muh everything i like is sacred and must be safe mentality of a fucking child
>>217257599>Show ends with us never knowing if Jim got that rundown
>>217254646I don't understand how people can convince themselves to work full time. It must purely be to support families. I'm eternally single and the thought of having a wife disgusts me. I just work 25 hours a week. I have no desire for a house and just rent rooms when I can because I also refuse to put down thousands a month on an apartment. If I can't find a room at the time, I live in my van. All I want is to animate so I do the bare minimum otherwise.
>>217255202Idk I stole my fiance from her last boyfriend and she's been with me for 8 years. As long as you do it quickly and don't simp, it's fine. It took me about 2 months.
>>217257697>you know what this comedy show needs? infidelity, yes-yes>no, it will not be funny or humorous at all, we just HAVE to shoehorn it in regardless, you know? aight creep
>>217257599DM scranton would have gone under had he stayed. Michael may be a retard but he was carrying the branch on his back
>>217257932Yes but that isn't what the show was about, they literally could have ended it right then and there and have all their plot points wrapped up. It's concise and satisfying, Michael stands up for himself and chooses to find his happiness, and the cut to black.
>>217254646Has there ever been a case of a documentary being filmed at some random office in real life?
>>217257256Its not even whoremonger shit, it's beta orbiter shit. Jim ruins men because it shows no girls faggots that just hanging around a girl and being nicer than her boyfriend is a strategy. It's a good strategy to kick your ass kicked and to be a shoulder to cry on while the girl goes and fucks a 3rd party
>>217256329I don't think you know what a yuppie is
>>217255372The whole "arr rook same" joke really didn't land for me since the 2 chicks looked nothing alike. The entire time my suspension of disbelief was ruined because I knew that's obviously what they were going for but I just kept wondering if I missed something like Michael forgot his contacts or something along those lines.
>>217254646When Roy said he was going to kill Jim. Then they pussied out the next episode and show never recovered.
>>217255372Yeah but the two horny Asian waitresses tho
>>217259574The joke is they couldn't get the hotties and had to settle for uggos
>>217254666Season 5 had Michael Scott Paper Company which was kino.
>>217260855True
>>217260795>UggosSorry you're gay, anon
