The eternal debate...
>>

Cruise if only because he never did anything as cringe as Inglorious Bastards.
>>
>>217255270
No debate, it's Cruise.
>>

>Cruise

Pitt gigamogs, not a debate
Cruise hasnt been in a good movie this century
>>
>Cruisekinos
The Firm
War of the Worlds
Mission Impossible
Eyes Wide Shut
Minority Report
>Pittkinos
True Romance
Seven
Fight Club
Meet Joe Black
Inglorious Basterds

It's close but I think Cruise just about clinches victory
>>
>>217255270
Pitt is a better actor, but cruise worked with better directors like Scorsese and Kubrick, I guess he ends up having more classics
>>
>The Adventures of Cliff Booth is an upcoming period comedy-drama film directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino. It is a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), with Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant reprising their respective roles as Cliff Booth and James Stacy
I googled Brad Pitt and thought the AI was hallucinating

Cruise is a better actor, has better range and a better filmography. Cruise can do everything Pitt does but Pitt could never be Ethan Hunt.

Early Cruise was better. But around the 90's he stopped trying and Pitt got a chip on his shoulder trying to prove wrong everybody that write off as just a pretty face. But in the last 10 years both are washed.

Brad Pitt’s son and his boyfriend.
>>
>>217255706
you have to give it to the Cruise, he actually invests himself in his roles much like Nic Cage
Brad Pitt never does that, he's just "the cool guy" everytime
>>

pitt is 182cm tall with normal shoes
cruise is 177 (with lifts)
>>
>>217255270
I don't know who I would choose as the best actor because their movies are mainstream movies with no drama. I remember Pitt for movies like 12 Monkeys, Seven and Fight Club. But Cruise has Born the 12th of July, Collateral and some others. If I have to pick one right now I would pick Cruise because he played a bad guy in Collateral ver well, something that I don't remember from Pitt.
>>
>>217259996
with the exception of 12 monkeys I guess, which even stands out as a weird role for him to be doing
>>
>>217259996
This exactly what I was talking about. I don't remember the last time I watched a Pitt movie where he plays a different character than the hero or cool guy. He is in good movies like that F1 movie but his characters are always the same.

The only movies that I remember where he plays a different type of character or has to how some emotions are 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Seven, Interview with the Vampire (I haven't watched this but looks like a different type of character).
>>
>>217260242
Mickey "The Pikey" O'Neal is Pitt stretching out his acting chops.
>>
>>217260242
>I don't remember the last time I watched a Pitt movie where he plays a different character than the hero or cool guy.
Would you buy him being anything else?
>>
>>217260512
So you are saying he can only play one type of character? That means he is not a good actor then.

Why can't he play a mentally ill character, a weird character, a psychopath, a bad guy, etc.? Cruise did it well in Collateral playing the bad guy.
>>
>>217255270
I wonder what they would look like if they hadn’t had any work done
>>
>>217255270

He plays an uber cool bad guy. And Pitt can't play a loser because of his looks.

>>
>>217261483
>So basically Pitt can only play cool hero guys because he is too handsome?
Well, yes. He could ugly himself up, but he's not that good of an actor anyway. He's better than Clooney at least, who literally never even changes his hair.
>>
>>217261548
Indeed. No one will ever debate about Chris Hemsworth vs Chris Evans or whatever would be the modern equivalent. But you can do it would a bunch of old head actors.
>>
>>217261567
Inglorious bastards is the faggiest movie ever made. You are either an Indian or a retard for asking, maybe both.
>>
I am curios about what type of movies is Cruise going to do now that he is beginning to be too old for action movies. Will he make some serious dramatic movies to get more respect as a talented actor (he already has respect from being maybe the most successful actor ever)?
>>
>>217261638
So you have no actual reasoning. Retard confirmed.
>>
>>217261728
He had a weird career arc of doing serious stuff when he was young before transitioning to action stunt maxxing when he got older. He doesn't have anything to left to prove really. And Hollywood is in a weird place where "serious" roles are kind of shit as well.
>>
>>217261823

It really doesn't. Pitt has been in numerous movies where he was with other high-profile actors and was outacted by them. Norton in Fight Club, Freeman in Seven, Cox in Troy, literally everything he's done with Clooney, Waltz in Inglorious, Hopkins in Legends of the Fall, Blanchett in Benjamin Button. Near everytime he ran circles around someone else it was some retard like Shia or lesser actors whose careers never took off for good reason.

Pretty much everytime Cruise was with another high-profile actor he either beat them or matched them. And Pitt has never straight up carried a movie like Cruise has either.
Cruise is definitely the better actor He just decided to become a cult nut and grew to have a love of doing action slop.

Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut, Jack in A Few Good Men, Foxx in Collateral, everyone in Tropic Thunder despite being a cameo, Duvall in Day of Thunder, absolutely demolished Farrell in Minority Report, Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow. The only time I'd really say he got outright assraped was by Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man.

Daniel shakes his head.

DANIEL
The traffic light signal. Built it in 1923. Garrett Morgan.

A frozen moment. An endless pause. Max not even breathing,
staring at Vincent, waiting... ...a beat of regret... ...and Vincent's gun came up so fast, Max didn't even see it.
THREE SMALL POPS. A different gun: .22 caliber Ruger with a thick, silent barrel. Three small holes. And Daniel's head
falls forward. Vincent catches it, arranges Daniel's arms so that Daniel's head rests on them as if he's taking a nap. And
Vincent did it gently, almost regretfully. A red mist of blood swirls in the air.

Max is stunned beyond words, and powder-burned at such close

Cruise is better. He uses his eyes very well. Disbelief. Joy. Sadness. When I picture these feelings from Cruise, I see them clearly emoted. When I picture these feelings from Pitt, I see pic related.

I think Pitt is a better actor and he's been in a lot of good movies, but Cruise has been in more. Tom Cruise always comes off as a psychopath in every movie he's in, and as such I've never found any of his characters as relatable as they should be.

Good Brad Pitt movies I've seen:
>Seven
>12 Monkeys
>Fight Club
>Ocean's Eleven
>Troy
>The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
>Burn After Reading
>Inglourious Basterds

Good Cruise movies I've seen:
>Top Gun

They are quite different. Cruise primarily churns out action flicks and the occasional dramatic role which he pulls off well. He never tries to bite off more than he can chew. Pitt is just a reliable handsome man like Clooney, he tries to push his "acting" a bit further which generally falls flat. Fight Club is the only Brad Pitt role where he was genuinely the best man for the job. Cruise has carried many films.
