Is this Well Written? Why don't I hear about it much?
People talked about it on here as it was airing
>>217263252usually good shows have a longer discussion life than when they aired
worth watching but nothing crazy
>>217263837Worth watching and absolutely bonkers. The fight with the head of security was savage as hell. Lindon is a qt pie.
>>217263863But is it smartly written tho?
>>217263881it was written by Alex garland so what do you think?
>>217263881It got to the edge with its science before veering off into the sci fantasy. I didnt like lindon's ending, it seemed farcical that would be a decision made would be. Would recommend 1st season of counterpart, utopia, station 11 and dark if you enjoyed devs. The oa is the next series I will watch that has been lauded as high concept sci fi.
>>217263958>The oa is the next series I will watch that has been lauded as high concept sci fi.Make a thread on this one, so I can figure if its well written and worth a revisit. Tried to watch this when I was much younger but still intellectually curious, and couldn't get through it.
>>217263310literally the opposite. good shows are barely spoken about on heretheres a literal fucking stranger things general up right now
>Welcome to Devs, our super secret team where we design new beard oils and reddit bacon.
>>217263230Cool premise. Poorly written. Terribly acted. The protagonist is so bad, and her haricut is terrible. She was great in Ex Machina. Anyway, it's a movie premise turned into a TV show, with the basic question being asked every single episode and not answered until the final episode.
was he a simp?
>>217264157He looks like he is wearing that tube top isabel moner wears in that rose and marky mark movie.
>>217263230it was airing in peak bot era and it was shit all the way through.
>>217264003OA season 1 is not bad, S2 not as good
>>217264252Sounds something a bot would say.
>>217263230nah it's shit
>>217266302Yummy, had no idea what gender they were going for till the second to last episode.
UNINTENTIONALLY GREAT SHOW; IT DEPICTS THE FOLLY OF ATHEISTIC TECHNOLOGISTS, AND HOW ALL THEIR ENDEAVOURS ARE, ULTIMATELY, FUTILE AND ABSURD.
>>217264003The OA has lots of great qualities to it and some of Netflix's obligatory cringe smeared over it. You have be able to accept that the Netflix cringe is there but can be ignored as it's not important to the plot. There's also a weird dance that looks pretty cringe and is important to the plot. You just have to accept that sometimes cringe does exist on it's own. It's worth accepting in this case.If you don't want to risk spending tons of time watching the full series, watch 'I Origins' (2014) first. It's not related to 'The OA' but it's the same type of story telling.
>>217263230It's between mid and retarded >We make a computer that predict future, now we act exactly as we saw in a computer to justify it's predictions
The sound design was otherworldly. Really emphasized the events as gargantuan actions.
>>217263230gregorian chants = always kino
