>>217309479Its got the same problem the Marvels had:Essentially its a feature length episode of a TV show, that you will have had to have watched before to understand or care about the characters.You might get away with that if it was something like the finale episodes of Doctor Who, where they show them in the cinema for a day or so and the cinema is usually full, but not for more than a week at best. You start off with a limited pool of people who would go to see the film anyway, because a few series of a show that is on a paid subscription service only is REQUIRED VIEWING. That is cut down further by the fact that most people who sign up to that service do so because they can watch Disney films there in few months without paying for the cinema. The only people seeing Disney films in cinemas, unless it is a spectacle like Avatar, is people who don't watch enough Disney films to justify spending money on D+, these people won't want to see a TV movie of a show they don't watch, and not one thats anything less than 5 stars (see what happened to Tron:Ares for an example).Add to that Disney have no idea how to advertise or market films in cinemas anymore and you have a huge flop in the making.In the UK this would have been done as a feature length Christmas Special, straight to TV. It would have attracted fans of the show who might have not seen it for years, like Doctor Who Christmas Specials do, and not cost much more than a regular episode, everyone would have won.
