The farm was so comfy. You really miss it and Smallville when the show moves to Metropolis in the later seasons. The lighting is changed, they have less money to shoot on location, it is just depressing.

It was basically teen X Files. Same location, composer, and monster of the week format, even a few of the same actors. The comfiness rapidly faded in the following seasons as they overplayed the teen drama angle too much. They kept delaying Clark and Lana getting together to tease for ratings
