Tron Legacy:>Continues the overall worldbuilding behind the grid and leaves us open to discover more of an unknown digital world with its own rules>Stunning visuals paired with great music>Overall great soundtrack paired with peak Daftpunk >Coherent story, although kind of biblical in its truest sense>Even includes a holocaust against a whole new digital lieform that defies everything we know about life and the universe>Lots of great references to real world computer stuff. As expected, as wanted >Weird CGI for Jeff bridges because old as fuck Tron Ares:>None of the above>Nine inch nails teased, delivered like 2 songs nobody remembers (Though the whole album is ok-ish)>Cringe humor beyond repair>Jared leto
>He actually watched Ares

Tron Ares wasn't that bad. If you loved Legacy there's some stuff in here you'll like. The problem is that the films was in development hell for a long time and they removed Quorra and Sam's storyline from the movie at the last second. Cillian Murphy was also removed.Jared Leto was part of the original Tron 3 screenplay going back to 2011.Ares' storyline is the only surviving story from the original Tron 3 script and it's about artificial intelligence. It would have been way ahead of it's time if it came out in the 2010s.Ares behaves exactly the way That ChatGPT and Grok behave today. So the filming and production of Tron Ares was rushed. Filming was crammed into 4 months. They replaced Sam and Quorra with some DEI characters they came up with on the spot. The characters were not fleshed out at all. The soundtrack by nine inch nails was great and the visuals and CGI were incredible as well just like they were in Tron Legacy. This film's biggest downfall was removing Sam and Quorra. That being said I liked this movie and would pick it up on blu ray because I'm a Tron fan.
>>217322683>>Weird CGI for Jeff bridges because old as fuckOnly flaw with Legacy. They ruined what could have been a good villain with terrible cgi.
>>217322683Tron never made any money
>>217322869I actually bought the steelbook and no, I haven't seen the movie :^)
>>217323665What’s the original story
>>217324352It was groundbreaking back in 2010
>>217324556It was going to be about Quorra adjusting to the real world.
>>217322683Yeah, but I really like Ares and the Cherry Coke ocean in the Dillinger grid looks quite delicious
>>217324594Nigga it looked bad in 2010 too.
