One of the reasons HYC is getting so popular is because it's refreshing to see an earnest take on a sitcom dad, satirical or not, that's actually portrayed in a positive manner rather than being the "dad dumb woman right" stereotypical longhoused dad that's been done to death for years.

Feels like they have the passion for animation more than the passion for writing. It's still better than most shows out there to me but it's lost some of its luster, my S1 hopes that the show would get better and better have dwindled, and even recurring gags like the awkward dialogue or michael cusack's voices are getting grating.
