They made a whole ass second movie that basically just went with the audience response to the first movie because it's the same premise again but now he's pitted against a bunch of thugs that are chasing a little girl to steal her rare-blood-type organs for their rich employersAt the end he forces her go to the authorities instead of staying with him like she wants to, confessing "I am a murderer and a rapist" and it somehow makes him even MORE fucking sympathetic

It would be one thing if it was just a bunch of robbers who thought that nobody was home and then it spiraled from there, but they were portrayed as malicious scum who cause harm for their own amusement, knowingly going to assault a blind disabled guy.It reminds me of Law Abiding Citizen, where director decided to show a graphic scene where main character's family gets raped and murdered. That already is hard to navigate if that man is supposed to be a villain, but then they portray all main characters as dismissive of the first scene or corrupt.

A bunch of small-time burglars getting their shit kicked in because they thought a blind vet would be an easy target is such a good idea on its own, I don't know what the fuck they were thinking with the dead child replacement rape plot, it only detracts from the premise of the movie.I wonder if you could edit all that shit out of the movie to make it better, but I think it gets too intertwined by the end to be possible.
