Is there something with the potential to reach Game of Throne's level of popularity if it ever got adapted or is GoT just a standalone phenomenon (before its downfall)?I miss how everyone was on board with this show, even my parents were tuning in every week. YWN again be able to watch the latest Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, GoT, or Breaking Bad episode and then hop on to the AV Club website and then chat with everyone at work about it the next day. Now everyone's split between a bunch of different shows and streaming services. And most people just inhale a whole season of TV in a weekend and lurch on to something else because there's nothing new to consoom.
