What happened to Leftenant Little?
>>217344179he didn't transition so good
>>217344221
>rawr
>>217344376why does it look so off?
>>217344376>oh you shaved :/
>>217344179Apparently IRL when the later expedition arrived to find out what exactly happened to the crew the natives told them that they found one guy with shiny chains stuck to his face so that's where this comes from
>>217344376Imagine how much more kino the show would've been if they'd run out of money to make a bad CGI monster and instead had to make the "monster" a group of hungry polar bears stalking them.
>>217344784>what if the magical monster was acktually real thing that was misinterpreted?
>>217344784>what if this supernatural horror story didn't have supernatural horror
Times you acted like Hickey
>>217345014
Is season 2 worth watching?
>>217344784they can just shoot polar bears, they did in real life
>>217344179The mutinous crew abusing as he's the last, and now impotent, officer
>>217345014i pretend to be Irish every st patricks day, i dont suck cock or shit dip though
Who had the worst death?
why did so many of the royal marines join hickey?royal marines don't mutiny.
>>217345079No it turns into a weird anthology about japs in summer camp with haunted Polaroids. They should have made it about different tragic situations. Donner party would have been awesome.
>>217345194>Donner party would have been awesome.Fuck, that would have been amazing.Or the Coppermine expedition.
>>217345172>Des Voeux He's seen literally dying The only one from that party who is genuinely "last seen alive" is HoarAlso probably Jopson or Irving due to the sheer shock and horror of their deaths
Claim your Terror alignment.
>>217345188Is it not a trope that the presented "thug" martial group often joins the villain? Even when it doesn't make too much sense.
>>217345275where did hoar run off to?
>>217345316Who is chaotic stupid?
>>217345338>There's nothing that way, Mr Hoar!Inevitable death

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>217345316KEK. Lawful tired for me it is.
Fine, I'm going to come out and say it: the shaman was a fucking retard for not openly approaching a large group of men at night and shouldn't have been surprised he was shot.
>>217344179>everyone was almost at their wit's end from hunger and cold when Little came up with one final, barely coherent thought that could perhaps bring some cheer to the camp and raise morale. with numb hands he retrieved his pocket watch and got to work. several minutes later he roused the men from their delirium.>hey guys look, I'm that tranny from 300>the ensuing brawl between the men trying to kill him and the men trying to stop the fight resulted in almost complete destruction of their camp and numerous casualties.>little was too drained at this point to take much notice of the carnage, but for a moment he thought he saw a few smirks. 'they almost laughed' he thought, 'it was close'.
I was actually surprised how many (biological) girls watched this show and how many AUs were written about the charactersParticularly GoodsirHell, one hapa girl got a book published about saving Graham Gore with a time machine and fucking him
>>217345014>what bussy does to a mfer
you guys excited for the terror: season 3?>The third season follows Pepper, a man who is wrongfully committed to psychiatric hospital, where he must deal with adversarial patients and doctors, as well as the supernatural.[6]season 2 was completely made up by tv writers, but now season 3 is another horror novel adaptation at least
>>217345516>I'm a.....Portuguese, I'm basically a coloured!
>>217345604mehi want more expeditions/adventurers in rough spots
>>217345604cautiously optimistic
>>217345528Women will complain about boats and men wanting to do anything other than waste money on them, but there's a reason why humanity was able to spread across the globe. Where adventerous man went, the woman followed. We need to go back bros
>>217345516
>>217345604Not at all55% of what made it great was the castTwo of whom were in Rome35% was the exploration theme and general setting
>>217345528>Hell, one hapa girl got a book published about saving Graham Gore with a time machine and fucking himI read that one. The main character is the author's stand-in, she's horrified by Gore's Victorian-era casual racism, but then she starts getting turned on by it and wants him to knock her up.
>>217345528>watching The North Water>Lady Silence shows upMan wtf, that woman just loves getting white sailors killed
>we can't turn back
thinking about the skeleton crew left on the ships makes me sad
>>217345604kys franchisefag
>>217344376>It's called the Tuunbaq because the natives created it to make whitey turn back from their landBravo Simmons
>>217345903why the fuck did those guys volunteer to stay behind?
Who was the boiler guy, did he get a name?
>>217345951Why die tired?
>>217345988'Why die tired?'They should put that on our money.
>promoted to a leftenant>got left in a tent
>>217344376how long until we can replace this jeet-tier cgi bear with something that looks better?
if you showed me all of the britbongs who played in this, the north water and master & commander and asked me to assign each one of them to their specific kineaux I couldn't do it
>>217344179>>217347016>Leftenant
>>217345194Japs love to take pictures. Even at internment camps
>>217345316Chaotic Tired
>>217347092its how they say it and im glad i wasnt the only one to notice
>>217347251that's how they say it in bongland, dumbass
>>217347251I know, but it's still spelled the same lmao.
>>217345951It was a scene added to the show late in production as the actual ships were found while they were making the show.Inuit testimony had said the ships were seen further south than where the note said they were frozen in. Everyone ignored them for a couple hundred years of course because what the fuck would eskimos know. Then the ships were found pretty much where they said they would be, so the show writers quickly added that scene to establish that some people were left behind to sail them in case of leads, thus tying the show closer to the historical outcome. As to why in the show they stayed behind, I guess they were just a group who thought walking 800 miles was suicide.No-one knows if there was such a group or if some survivors turned back to re-man the boats, but eski testimony says at least the Terror was manned in the bay, and people generally believe the Erebus probably was to get where she ended up.
>>217347304im fortunate enough not to have been born nor traveled there
>>217347391shit, i wouldve stayed with the ship too
>>217347391christ, the whole this terrifying to think abouti wonder how it took before the men knew they were doomed
FUCK
I accidently watched the last episode first thinking it was one of those "show the ending then flashback to tell to the whole story" sort of deals. I didn't ruin the show for me in the slightest. Still seen it maybe six times over now.
>>217345172Dr. Stanley if we're just talking pain though he did it to himself so fuck him.Sgt. Tozer if we're talking about total suffering. Watched all of his men die a horrible death. Gets roped in on a mutiny by a retard. Realizes it too late and tries to redeem himself only to get killed and have his soul eaten by Tuunbaq.
>>217347401still spent years of your life learning their language though
>>217345172Blankey had the most badass death. Also David Young>exposureI thought he was the first casualty of the poison/scurvy mix everyone was slowly getting.
>>217347504
>>217347504it became our language about when they started pronouncing it 'leftenant' instead of 'lootenant'
>>217347514In the show it was TB. The real one is cause unknown, but experts think TB is pretty likely. That image just uses 'exposure' to cover a bunch of things related to environment related sickness.
>>217347504kek got him
>>217347514In real life it was John Torrington (not David Young) who was buried on Beechey Island and he likely died of tuberculosis. We know because we have his corpse. The show changed this to David Young dying of TB for some reason and John Torrington is never seen in the show. The show has a lot of weird changes like this. People who are supposed to be on Terror being swapped to Erebus. Characters that are big in the novel being name swapped with other character for the show. Etc
>>217347637the corpses are real eerie looking too, pretty interesting
>>217347504Des Vouex, is that you?
>>217347637in the show Beechey island already happened before the first episode, Sir John and Dr Stanley mention itTorrington, one of the marines and John Hartnell's brother were buried there
>>217347637I'd need to check (and I don't have it downloaded) but I don't think the island they bury David Young on is Beechey Island. I think they state that Torrington already died and this is the second set of crew members they're burying.
>>217347637Do you remember if in the show they mention being at Beechey earlier? If guys died there earlier?I think in the show they killed David Young like that to use the circumstances of the real event, but so that they could have a death close to when the ships would have been stuck.I'm probably not making senseI'm trying to say that, in the show, the Beechey stuff possibly still happened but months before, off-screen.Then they wanted a spooky death in the first ep with foreshadowing but didn't want a months-long time jump so offed a guy shortly before they got stuck and just picked him and gave him a similar death.
>>217347725Thanks for clarifying.
>>217345523>hey guys look, I'm that tranny from 300
>>217344179>He ran out of time
