loved it

Awful adaptation of the source material, it is nothing like the comics. But a solid blockbuster movie elevated especially by Tilda Swinton and Peter Stormare.
>>
>>217347680
yeah DRY AF frfr it ain't dat WAP ong
>>
>>217347186
only watched a little of it but:
1. He's literally me
2. A crap ton of CGI
>>
>>217347186
You know how some animes introduce major supporting cast members by saying "we met X while on this incredibly important storyline that we never actually showed"

That's how Constantine feels regarding every single plot element
>>
>>217348637
Pretty much. This film is pretty generic in that regard.
>>
>>217347186
Why they never did a sequel?
>>
>>217347186
i dont remember anything about it but it's great
>>
>>217348731
Didn't really make loads of money and get caught in development hell.
>>
>>217347680
Stick with Tyler Perry joints, dawg.
>>
kind of bad but entertaining with a legitimately good ending
>>
I like Keanu. I think he's a good actor.
>>
>>217348996
What is it that you like about his acting?
>>
Michelle Monaghan had thirty minutes of scenes cut out. Completely different movie.
>>
>>217349297
What was cut?
>>
I liked Shia LeBouf's character.
>"The name is Chaz Kramer, asshole!"
ACK!!!
>>
It's a good movie. Plenty of cool and interesting stuff. That being said, The actual Constantine mogs the fuck out of it.
>>
>>217349346
Her. From star to "uncredited", don't see that too often.
>>
>>217349346
She was Constantine's Succubus love interest, a half breed.

>>217348000
Because he didn't follow the plan. He tried to be God instead of following him
>>
>>217349454
>>217349487
One could argue that the filmmakers wanted Rachel Weisz to be the love interest. Her and Keanu have a history together in films. Which reminds me, time for my yearly rewatch of
>Chain Reaction
>>
>>217349562
chain reaction is so good, very underrated
>>
>>217348731
there's one in development but who knows if it'll go through after WB gets sold
>>
>>217347186
I like it.

he’s literally me
>>
>>217349198
He's cool.
>>
>>217348070
The comics were frustrating because the artwork was shit all the way through and the writing deserved better.
>>
I think they said someone is thinking about making another? I recall Keanu specifically mentioned being interested, but no idea if it's all on pause with all the media stuff that's been going on, and if they'll be attached to the other DC stuff. Feels like they could try to keep it on its own and not get bogged down by all that shit.
>>
>>217349585
>>217349562
>Chain Reaction
Damn, I saw that 96-97 and still remember that the plot was about cold fusion. What the hell happened to Hollywood, why can't they make memorable movies anymore?
>>
>>217350621
>and if they'll be attached to the other DC stuff

But this is not part of the superhero universe, right?
>>
>>217350753
no it's going to be like the Pattinson Batman and Joker movies in its own continuity.
>>
>>217350789
What I mean is if it is part of DC superhero universe or if it is made by DC but is another universe.
>>
>>217350812
that's what i said my niggerino
>>
>>217347186
One of the better Keanu kinos
>>
>>217349198
I like how wooden and unnatural it is.
>>
Imagine Batman and The Flash going to Hell with Constantine to help him fight demons. It could be kino. And then when they find the demonboss there is The Joker as his right hand.
>>
Mid 00’s CGI demon slop fest kino. I’ve always loved it.
>>
>>217350836
it's like obviously terrible but it weirdly works for this character and this world. it's initially awful but when he reveals his whole backstory and you start to see more of the supernatural shit it kind of makes sense why he acts the way he does. he's like a living breathing anime rival character edgelord like Hiei or Vegeta and it's totally earned. he's a lot like Leonardo Dicaprio where if you can get him in the right role in the right movie it's very effective, but in anything else (Dracula) he's fucking terrible.
>>
>>217350888
Another example is The Matrix, he was good for that as a shy dude with little emotional expressions.

But then he has made comedies too, that I have no watched. And there he has to be expressive.

The movie that I have watched from him where he has had to show more emotions and acting in general is that movie with Pacino about Satan.
