Death Proof will always be Tarantino's worst, but this is truly dire.
>>
>>217348400
>dire
Who the fuck uses that word? Did you get one of those word a day thesaurus calendars?
>>
>>217348400

This movie was ass. My friend only liked it cuz he was high.
>>
>>217348439
Fuck off jeet.
>>
>>217348400
It's his best.
>>
>>217348400
I didn't like it when I first saw it but when I watched the extended miniseries version I liked it a lot more.
>>
Is there any director that lives rent free in whiner's heads more than Tarantino? Every day, multiple times a day we need a new thread about how much he sucks because they also have that memento disease.
>>
>>217348400
Not even bottom tier. Death Proof, Django, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill were worse.
>>
>>217348601
Django is way better, Waltz had more charisma in him than the entire cast of this one, including Russell somehow. Kill Bill is incomparable to the rest, you're a midwit.
>>
>>217348400
I like it the most
>>
H8f8l8 is one of the only good Tarantino movies, until the shitty asspull

There is no salvation for you. Just end it.
>>
>>217348558
Pull your mouth off of tarantulas dick
>>
>>217348439
Came here to say this. You sound like a fag OP.
>>
>>217348439
came here to say this. them big words make my brane hurt
>>
>>217348400
Death Proof wasn’t just bad, it was BORING. like cruelly boring.

Hateful Eight. I always feel like we could have seen a better story, it was my understanding Tarantino rewrote the whole thing after the initial plot got leaked. The story is an absurdly weak mystery movie set post civil war.
>>
>>217348400
Death proof has the most kino cast THO
>dodge challenger
>dodge charger
>chevrolet nova
>ford mustang
>MEW
>>
Now time for the true trvke: inglorious bastards is his best
>>
>>217349298
The problem is the premise. There is zero reason the gang wouldn't just waste them all upon arrival. Ruth was alone in the cabin with them, ffs.

I haven't seen any of his movies since Kill Bill, it was that bad
>>
>>217349811
They don't want to risk hurting or killing Daisy/Ruth killing her before dying. They also didn't know if he'd be bringing any reinforcements (Warren and Mannix coming along were something they couldn't predict).
>>
>>217349834
They could plop him in the head easily, anon. It's ridiculous.

>Warren and Mannix coming along were something they couldn't predict
They were in the barn with OB and wouldn't have even heard the shots in the storm. It's all just too flimsy.
>>
>>217348400
His most indulgent movie without a doubt. Like all his worst traits put in a blender and stretched to 3 hours
>>
>>217349811
Not him but they wouldn't have been able to continue their journey for a few days due to the blizzard outside, plus if you give credibility to Daisy's story (I don't, but it's up to the viewer) they had men in Little Rock who would've rode to the cabin eventually because of them being late anyways. Which means extra time equals extra firepower.

On top of that there was no way or knowing if Ruth will show up alone. Him having companions didn't change the strategy of Channing and his gang - wait in silence until the right moment comes and kill everybody with a surprise attack - but it made the definition of "right moment" more complex. And once they betray their hiding spot there's no turning back.

So there's plenty of reasons why the gang didn't go gung ho the moment Ruth stepped in. Remember what Channing said: the main priority is keeping Daisy alive and even John Ruth has to sleep sometime.
>>
>>217350021
It doesn't matter, anon, because it's over as soon as they pull a gun on Ruth. They shoot him, Daisy fights, he dies. There is no way he's going to be able to hurt her because they all get him.

Similarly, nothing to stop Bob from offing Warren in the stable. The whole premise relies on this rogue band of killers--who we see slaughter even more people in the flashback--to remain passive in the situation.

Even aside from that, QT actually has to use a cut and time lapse to essentially reset everything after Jamie shoots Warren. So he just stays down there while Warren and Mannix drag themselves across the room and orient themselves? No, he's have been shooting up the floor.

It's all just too shaky to be believable and jars you right out of the picture. .

Worst: Death Proof
2nd worst: Inglorious Basterds
3rd worst: Django Unchained
>>
>>217350191
Justify hateful eight being better than basterds or django
>>
>>217348400
The entire sequence where they went over how the gang took over the haberdashery was completely unnecessary and made me withdraw all engagement in what was going on.
>>
>>217348400
Fuck off it's my favorite.
>>
Best: Death Proof
Worst: Pulp Fiction
come at me.
>>
>>217348400
Easily one of my top 3 qt movies.
>>
>>217348400
It's unwatchable. Somehow he doesn't direct scenes to let them breathe anymore.
>>
>>217348400
>it’s basically just Reservoir Dogs just set in the Wild West

Just what exactly is there to hate here?
>>
>>217349890
absolutely, and the meta autofellatio of muh 8th film is the hateful 8 was the retard cherry on top. it's bad. goggins is a treat as ever thoughbeit
>>217348439
that's like elementary vocab, i hope you're baiting. it's pathetic regardless
>>
>>217351227
it's massacreslop.
>>
This was a great flick. OPs the sort of limpwrist who checks the IMDB rating first before he can like something kek
>>
>>217348400
I hated everything after Kill Bill, except Once upon a time
>>
>>217350348
More intricate story. Less masturbatory.
>>
Hateful Eight had good acting in it. Worst is Death Proof. Almost zero good acting. Kurt Russell is cool and all but he was totally miscast and Tarantino just wanted to work with him.
>>
>>217349829
It gets worse.
>>
>>217351685
he went full retard with death proof. when i think "grindhouse" i don't envision 2 hours of women babbling nonsense. tarantino is absolutely responsible for that neat experiment flopping.
>>
>>217348439
Our site languishes in word and deed of it's mothertongue and you traipse out this inane shitpost?
You must have sauntered in from duskier climes by mistake.
>>
>>217351756
Yeah he thought he was shitting gold, completely embarrassed himself and then tried way too hard with Basterds to cope.
>I think this just might be my masterpiece
Holy cringe.
>>
>>217351756
planet terror was on point. so were all the fake trailers. but tarantino, despite ostensibly being some kind of film expert ripoff master, apparently had no clue how to do a proper exploitation flick, even a self-aware sendup of one. he delivered about 5 minutes of good shit within ~2 hours of straight up fucking garbage. i am still mad after all this time.
at least robert rodriguez was vindicated in the face of four rooms, where tarantino was responsible for the only worthwhile segment, back when he ripped godard hard before godard made fun of him and he got butthurt and reverted to like brian de palma worship. "a band apart" lmao
>>
>>217348400
You're right about Death Proof, but Django is worse than this.
>>
>>217351009
What do you like about Death Proof?

I just did a watch of all the Tarantino flicks, and Pulp Fiction is like right in the middle, but Death Proof was dead last for me.
>>
>>217348400
I saw it in theaters and some people were saying it wasn't one of his better ones but still wasn't bad

but this is truly dingus
>>
>>217352067
it's all been shit since pulp fiction. maybe you're one of those who enjoys jackie brown, that's cool. i think it's an adaptation of a boring novel, i don't really understand what people get from it. around that time is when tarantino disappeared up his own ass
