>can alter time and space>can teleport>can manifest children>can mind control>can possess>can change environmentIs Blair Witch just a witch? Seems like a God-like creature to me
>>217354172I think the witch is supposed to be a demon
>>217354172>Blair Witch Projectnot a single projector in sight.
>>217354172The 2 theories that make the most sense are 1) The old woman “mary” in the beginning is the witch. She allegedly saw the witch and survived, and her gate was shaped like the twig things2) The witch was a time mage and cast a spell that tempered them back in time. That’s why the woods looked different and the map was useless, and why their bodies were found under the foundation of the house
>>217354263No. She was human woman in the past. They stole her land and she made a pact with the Devil to punish them
>>217354172She was at the start
In the game they made her an Indian demon or something like that.
>>217354172Are there any other movies that give off the same kind of isolated hopeless dread where the situation just gets worse as the story goes on?
>>217354172This bothers me also. They gave her waaaay to powerful spells to be just a witch
>>217354872Yes, the one about my life
Are you talking about blair witch 2015
Ellie Kedward was the witch but there’s another unseen force in the woods.People used to call it fairies, demons, ufos and more recently its the missing 411 phenomenon and it can snatch you up, manipulate time etc.You can feel it sometimes, if you go out alone camping or whatever, threes a presence there in nature
>>217354907Only needed to mentally influence guy to kick fucking map into the creek. Problem solved.
>>217354172She drain power from the forest itself. There was some entity that give her powers
>>217355129The missing what now? Redpill me anon
>>217355129Meds. Now.
>>217354872Grave Encounters
>>217356539People are going missing in forests and national parks in very unusual ways, just vanishing, being found in impossible places or in places that were previously searched. guy called David Paulides wanted to track them but was met with secrecy by the national parks so he collected incidents like this - something very odd is happing out there boys.>>217356582My balls. Suck them.
>>217354172is that... an invisible entity? PLEASE HELP ME IM GOING INSAAAANEEE
>>217354172No one knows. That's the point.
>>217354598Their bodies were never found, just their footage was buried in the foundation.
>>217355130The map was useless by that point. They were supernaturally trapped in an endless forest.
>>217358846>>217358846>They were supernaturally trapped in an endless forest. Many such cases
>>217354172>>217355129>>217355544I believe this exists out west and in remote areas in old growth forests that are still as of yet untainted by human presence. But I believe even in the movie they acknowledge how weird it is for this to be happening in some random tiny Appalachian wood out east, surrounded by highways and civilization on all sides within a day's walk and say it must be an actual human presence. Malevolent and supernatural, but human.
>>217357450Too complicated for halfwits who need to build theories from obviously purposely incomplete details
>>217358846>They were supernaturally trapped in an endless forestWhere'd you get that?
>>217359525From the movie?
>>217359525They followed the creek all day and ended up back where they started.
Do we take the subsequent movies as canon? Anyway, the witch created a time loop that traps the wanderers there. They eventually go insane and kill each other.
These things are her domain. Once you ruin one of them, you are in her realm
>>217359216What’s the one under Bigfoot?
>>217359801probably dogman
>>217354872Maybe Alien, Predator and The Thing, but they all have strong protagonists who are able to overcome the odds in the end, except arguably The Thing with its ambiguous ending. The Thing also shares BWP's sense of paranoia and distrust, as well as a monster whose true nature always remains vague, so the viewer is left in a constant state of unease throughout the film.
>>217355129>You can feel it sometimes, if you go out alone camping or whatever, threes a presence there in natureI suspect this is why so many snotty Zoomoids complain about Blair White not being scary enough. It was made for Gen Xers who had certain core experiences with nature. So if you were raised by a single mom who couldn't afford summer camp or have never been camping because you're a sedentary Redditor who hates being outside and has no friends to go camping with anyways, you just don't have any context to build upon.
>>217360210Which is weird considering how many of them think you literally die in days if you go out innawoods.
>>217355129>>217359216>>217360210Fear of nature is a semitic trait. Being surrounded by wilderness soothes the Hyperborean soul.
Wild to read this thread cause when I watched this with my hoe we both came to the same conclusion that it was obviously one or two dudes taking turns to harass them and eventually kill them. It's not like they are moving fast with the huge ass backpacks. There's nothing supernatural about the movie. I thought it was even implied that it was the dudes fishing that killed them. I don't know why people find forests so spooky, I spent 3 months living alone in a forest when I had an autistic melty as a kid and never had any scary or supernatural experience.
>>217360210>heh stupid zoomers being scared of a hallway...>is that a quiet, serene, and empty forest??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAVE ME BEAR GRYLLS
>>217360504The murder house at the end shouldn’t be there. Their footage and equipment were found in the old foundation because it had burned down several years before the events of the movie.
>>217360504>one or two dudes taking turns to harass themWhat about kids wrecking the tent, ending in the same place while going south all day and Josh yelling at the end
>>217360399I was talking about the movie. I go camping in remote wilderness all the time and enjoy it.
>>217360755idk what you are saying about the tent, the going south all day you'd know if you had ever walked in overcast weather in hilly featureless terrain, it can happen quite easily the dude yelling is yelling cause they are torturing him to attract the guys to the house, they just kidnapped him the day before while he was pissing outside the tent there was a similar case in spain some years ago
>>217360853>>217360656You can hear kids laughing outside their tent in one of the scenes at night.
>>217360853They had a compas, they walked south all they and ended up in the same place>idk what you are saying about the tentDid you even watch the movie?
>>217360890maybe it's a schizo cult with children again not even rare in appalachia >>217360959again, try going off the trail in appalachia and return to me
>>217360504You and your hoe seem a little stupid desu.
>>217354872the triangle
>>217361043>compasses don't work in appalachia
>>217361043You keep ignoring this >>217360656 post.
>>217359216Appalachia is full of stories like that.>>217360210Its true but not exclusive to zoomers, its a disconnect from nature and a dopamine addiction keeping them in a constant state of distraction.>>217360399its true that the jew fears the self reliant white man but an understanding and respect of the outdoors is universal for real people
>>217361093They were in rural Maryland, not the deep Appalachian forest lol
>>217354172All of those effects can be made with simple illusions and telepathy
>>217357450This. The whole awesomeness of the movie is that the whole thing is unexplainable and you have to imagine things, thus feeling paranoid and scared the whole time. Yes, the Witch is obviously very powerful entity and once you mess up with her its basically over for you. How did she get her powers is unknown, but she is malevolent and very dangerous being.
>>217361230Didn't she get them after being tied to a tree by the townspeople and making a deal with the evil spirit? Was that in the movie or is it from the companion shit?
>>217361309I dont know. Some anon in the thread said they stole her lands but i dont know if thats true either
>>217361365Pretty sure it's from the second movie. It's said she steals the kids because they tormented her when she was tied up.
>>217361112>>217361093Yeah I should have said New England forest. I'm sure that's true though, I've never been there myself but given the history I'm sure there are stories about malevolent spirits/witches, true or not.
>>217361309>being tied to a tree by the townspeopleWhy did they do that?
>>217361093>its true that the jew fears the self reliant white man but an understanding and respect of the outdoors is universal for real peopleI know, I'm just trolling. I love the woods, but I get that there's a thin line between serenity and eeriness in the wild.
>>217361505Salem is a neat place to visit. They really lean into the witch stuff.
>>217361560I've wanted to visit during the fall for awhile but I hear it gets overrun with tourists. Still looks comfy at night thoughhttps://youtu.be/WUtB57qawoo
>>217361505(Irrational) fear of the unknown is a common human trait, anon, stemming from millennia of stories and not knowing WTF is out there in the deep dark night. The modern experience just can't compare to the history that created the fear. Even the deep wilderness now is a total joke compared to forests even 100 years ago. Anyway, similar movie. I thought it was alright, but apparently it wasn't well-received. Probably because it ends with the girl apologizing to the cucked incel that she believes is targeting them.
>>217361539During the witch hysteria, I guess.
>>217361606>The modern experience just can't compare to the history that created the fear. Even the deep wilderness now is a total joke compared to forests even 100 years ago. I agree. We're too connected now. Still among the best places on earth to visit though.
>>217361606>>217361661I thought Willow Creek was pretty good because that part of deep Northern California is still largely dense wilderness.
>>217354172>>can mind controlEverything else is derived from this. If you've ever been lost in the woods you know how it works.
>>217354872How could I forget, The VVitch of course, though you've probably already seen it, since it's /tv/-core.
>>217361810Many view it was the prequel to Blair Witch. Autopsy of Jane Doe being the true sequel.
>>217361863>Autopsy of Jane DoeWhy didn’t they just try fucking her? Maybe she just wanted some dick
>>217360210>Blair White(s)he is extremely scary
are there any movies about sexy witches other then The Craft and Hocus Pocus? I wanna get my rocks off while imagining cute sexy witches going after my wand (my weiner)
>>217361863We do need a prequel though. The story with the kids, Rustin Parr and the search party in the Coffin Rock
>>217362285the love witch
>>217362396is it good to watch on peyote? I dont want to get scared.
>>217361915Just looked this movie up, and that's clearly what's going on here. It's just Corpse Bride, back from the dead and hungry for cock. Hard to sympathize with the protagonist when he's being such a low-T fag about the whole ordeal.>Oh no, a hot, naked, dead woman is trying to jump my bones!ffs, what a fag.
